Our parents in Africa preferred to work 9 to 5 and stayed with jobs on till retirement. They desired to be able to receive pension afterwards till their death. Then my generation felt their parents stayed in dead-end jobs and didn't maximize their potential. They desire to have more expression and freedom by going into creative industries like acting, music, sports, sole proprietorship, to mention a few, but most with no retirement plan in mind or a transgenerational plan. ...It seems one generation was more mindful of the future, but the later generation seems more consumed by just the now, from one extreme to another. We've seen many star celebrities make so much money and go broke later in life. I want to ask you, are you living for just the moment, or are you intentional about the next generation? Check the decisions you make regarding your time, money and pursuit; it's always a great indicator to know which one. The best recipe for creating generational wealth in perpetuity is for each generation to plan for two generations. What's your plan? #money #entrepreneurship #entrepreneur #creative #like #africa #leadership #inspiration #music Adegoke

In life, don't just make the easy choices or travel the easier road. There is so much in you that you are capable of birthing to bless your world and generation. It's been said the wealthiest place is not the oil fields of Niger Delta, nor the South Deep goldmines of South Africa or the Jwaneng diamond fields of Botswana, rather the graveyard. Songs, never composed, dreams that never happened, books unwritten, businesses never started. Don't deprive us all of the vastness of ...resources lying dormant in you. #entrepreneur #adventure #success #life #impact #tty See more

I enjoy creating concepts, products, ideas, services etc. I honestly believe we are all designed to have products. No one lives forever, but you can create things that outlive you.... What are you producing TODAY? What separates a prosperous nation from a poor one or a successful; business from another is in its value proposition. People will always pay you for the values you create. I like to say; people don't pay you for your similarity; people pay or hire you for what differentiates you. The addition or uniqueness you bring to the team makes them hire you. Subscribe to my email list now at www.totalyoucreatives.com Don't miss my next webinar titled "The Brand called YOU." While growing up,I use to hear a particular statement that bothered me. That if you want to hide a thing from a black man, put it in a book. I couldn't wrap my mind round that statement for a second. ... I come from a nation of perhaps the most educated people in United States and around the world. I do understand the intent of that particular statement was more in reference to a reading culture than an academic brilliance. I would concede that we generally read more for passing exams than leisure learning or staying up-to-date with cutting edge information. I do know people who spend lots time reading to broaden their minds but we still have them in the minority. I know my wife isa part of that minority, she targets eight books a month to read. I strongly believe that part of the reasons we haven't made much progress in Africa is in our inability to document our experiences. The inability to do so robs the next generation of the knowledge, experience and a sense of ownership. If you can't document your past or your story, someone else will sell a false one to your offspring. Think about the amount of knowledge that we have lost for many generations, either about herbs, discoveries, breakthroughs, formulas etc. Our forebears, simply chose the art of storytelling and as time goes by, the original story is lost in the diverse variations. They never felt the need to reveal all that they knew, because of the fear that if they did, they won't be relevant again. Perhaps this is the reason we just don't like to document our stories, our processes, because no one might read them. All the major tourist attractions I have visited in Canada, has their stories carved their.
