This has been a very hard and long year for everyone between the COVID-19 global pandemic to the flooding that we recently had. We have made the hard decision to cancel our Fall Market that was scheduled for September 19th due to COVID-19. We have and will always put our vendors and our shopper’s health and safety as our number one priority. With the rising numbers of positive COVID-19 cases, we do not feel that it is the time to have a large indoor gathering. We hope that we... can soon return to what will be the new normal where we can have a market full of wonderful local makers and sellers for our customers to shop at. We have our fingers crossed and hope that day will come. We have already started planning for next year! We hope to see all of you at our Gold Leaf Spring Market at the Dome building in Brandon on April 17, 2021 and our new Fall event, the Gold Leaf Fall Market at the Dome building in Brandon on September 25, 2021. It’s been a while since we posted. We are still here!!! It’s been a crazy year. We are still planning events but with the year being in question with COVID-19 we don’t know when we will be able to hold them. We have our fingers crossed that we will be able to have our fall market in September and will post more about it in the coming weeks. While dealing with COVID we also watched our town (Minnedosa) flood over the week of Canada day. We saw our community come together and h...elp each other try and recover from this horrible hit to our town. We hope you are all safe and well! We are here and we are eager to get going again on new events and work with others on planning their perfect event whether it be a gathering, a wedding, a Christmas party or fundraiser. We look forward to going back to normal or what the new normal is where we can gather and celebrate together. FROM THE TOWN OF MINNEDOSA: Town Operations 07/03/2020 11:30 a.m. The river levels have increased as expected with the water from the north so the Public Works... staff have been shoring up some low lying riverbank and have placed tiger dams at Victoria Bay as a precaution. The sewer system is still working to get caught up so please conserve water to ease the pressure. The Utilities Department is covering manhole in low areas to limit overland drainage into the sewer system. Reminder that there is NO GARBAGE PICKUP TODAY and it has been reschedule for next Tuesday. The road to Evergreen Environmental Technologies (dump) southeast of town remains closed. As clean up progresses, be cautious and safe!
