My husband found a very friendly, sad dog on the highway just before Crazy creek this morning. Older male, appears to be a yellow lab, black or dark blue collar... but no tags. He is wet and dirty, longer nails so not sure if he has been lost? He was standing in the middle of the hwy and trying to get into anyone's vehicle who would slow down. He attempted to see if he belonged to any of the few houses off the hwy there, with no luck. He has taken him to work for the day and is able to get him to the owner's after work tonight if anyone knows him?? He did not want him to get hit by a vehicle. Please share! See more

Huge thanks to the folks at Invermere Vet Hospital/Golden Veterinary Clinic for maintaining an office here. A full time vet would be a perfect solution but until then we are fortunate to have such dedicated vets.

Hi everyone, #crestonbc community #vancouver My partner and I were super super excited to pick up our little baby puppy today... but our seller let us know la...st night 8/21 that someone broke in and stole our puppy.... out of the litter in Creston BC We’re super devastated as we’ve been waiting for over a month to finally be able to bring him home and we had all his snacks, toys, a bed and plenty of love ready to welcome him to be a part of our family. Full disclosure: the seller has refunded us our deposit (which is nice!) but ultimately our want is to bring this puppy home and make him ours as we’ve grown emotionally attached and consider him a part of our family now. She’s let us know that she’ll keep us posted if he turns up. If anyone sees this puppy.... he’s pretty striking and recognizable, please message me. We named him Teddy #britishcolumbia

MISSING DOG! Blaze went missing on the Quartz Creek Logging road yesterday afternoon. He is very friendly, comes to "Blaze" and also will come to "Freckles." H...e is not shy, and will likely come to anyone. Currently he is wearing my other dogs collar that says Scout on it and has a pineapple print on it. It has my number on it (250) 939-8667. He does not always get along with other male dogs but is people friendly. This is a very special dog to my boyfriend, please keep your eyes open for him if you're out that way or heading to Kinbasket camping. See more

We received word About a dog running down the highway. 22kms south of golden with a bleeding neck. Possibly broke off a lead. We have driven out from Golden past parson and cannot find anything. Please let us know if you see a dog in distress.

I LOVE Disney and deal with a ALOT of dogs that resource guard. This made me laugh actually out loud.

SATURDAY MORNING CALL TO WEED WARRIORS! Our park is looking a bit jungly with all the weeds. In previous years Wildsite has had their summer day campers pluck a few noxious weeds and the town has sent in their machine. I guess not this year. I will be there Saturday between 8 and 10 am with my brush saw. Sure would appreciate some help. If you don’t have a brush saw, pulling some of the noxious weeds is quite easy. They should be bagged and left next to the garbage bins for the town to pick up. And if folks could scoop some poop before hand it would make weed whacking more enjoyable.

It’s hot out and sometimes we just need to stay where it’s cool instead of going for that walk
