SLOW DOWN Please be advised that logging operations are happening for 5km on the A108 North from goodfish, the logging company has only plowed one side of the road but we have been told that sled are driving way too fast and not sharing the road on this section and have had a few close calls with logging trucks. If sleds do not slow down the logging company has told us that the road will be scrapped down to bare gravel and heavily sanded.

With trails closed there is always work being done in the off season, We have another bridge that is need of replacing so we had a tech out taking measurements and surveying the area to start the process for permits.

We would like to give a huge shout out to all that were involved in the Melba Creek Bridge project which finished up this weekend. The project started over a year ago with planning and permits and on January 9 2021 the trail was plowed down to gravel for 16km to access the worksite with trucks and equipment. Earlton Postech screw piles were then drilled and installed, the deepest one was drilled to 92 feet below surface. The 8 foot wide by 65 foot long bridge was built off site and hauled in on January 27th and the new decking and railing was finished up on Friday. The A108 North from Goodfish to Bourkes remains CLOSED at this time as it enters into a different Health Unit District.
