35 years in the making! This 35 year old cake topper crowns this retro inspired buttercream cake celebrating the marriage of our wonderful neighbours Jeff and Lanette. Something to truly celebrate
Smiley Happy Ginger Men keeping the smell of Christmas in the kitchen. Happy Holidays 2019!
So very happy to make the cupcakes and cake for this amazing couple. A perfect match..if I do say so myself. The bride my beautiful fwend Sarah and her Moms created the perfect wedding spectacular..and SHE topped it off as the real icing on the cake <3
A very special celebration cake for the daughter of my dear friend Donna. A beautiful day for the bride Amanda to enjoy this all edible birch and sunflower cake!
We shared the love as "They decided on forever". So many wonderful memories from a fantastic party with our dear friends Julie and Gordon. Much love and a lifetime of happiness to both of you <3
Olivia is 3!!! ...and what a cutie this little ballerina is. We spent this glorious sunshiny afternoon watching her and her friends prance about. This vanilla cake has pink buttercream on the inside and is finished with a custom made "clay keepsake ballerina" topper which matches little Livvys own outfit.
Happy Easter to all of my "peeps"
Baby Ella will be joining us soon! We celebrated her impending arrival tonight at our hostess Sheri Levesques beautiful house. Congratulations to the little Momma Beth Mae! Vanilla cuppies studded with crushed Easter mini eggs..yum
A truthful educational read. Making beautiful cakes is a love, a passion, a pleasure but most decidedly an art
Sometimes a cake is more than just a cake. Sometimes it serves a slice of hope, a slice of love, a slice of joy, a new beginning, a celebration. Sometimes though a cake is symbolic for other things..memories..hopes and dreams lost. This cake is a loving compilation of both for my adorably sweet great nephew Jax who is celebrating his very first birthday surrounded with much love and support by his Mommy Lindz and his family today but without his Daddy. We feel your presence Matt with the addition of your sugar hat replica. You have a beautiful son, Matt and he had a wonderful first birthday.
These cakes are truly spectacular! Masters at work..lovely to behold.
Ahoy its a boy!! A cupcake tower of sweet vanilla cuppies to celebrate the soon to be arrival of our newest baby family member Ben. We cannot wait to meet you. Congratulations to Evan and Michelle
It doesnt get much more Canadian than this. Maple sugar cookies topped with delicious maple icing set upon the iconic Hudsons Bay colours. The backdrop..pure Canadian wilderness north of Haliburton. Happy 150th birthday Canada. What a wonderful country we call home!!!
An elegant lace wedding cake to match the brides dress. This little two tier cake in blush pink with a sugar peony topper was for a wedding on a gorgeous sunny day today. Inside this cake is lemon with lemon meringue buttercream. Caking can be dangerous as a sneeze whilst carrying cake supplies caused me to throw my back out! In the end it all came together..and my back will too. One step at a time
I just came across this post tonight and had to share. This was the scene that inspired my name "Golden Ticket Cakery". It all begins with a little pure imagination.....
An all buttercream spring beauty to celebrate the birthday girls 50th! A terracotta spring planter overflowing with plenty of pretty pink flowers and yellow roses. Its Spring outside even though the weather doesnt quite feel like it :)
A nice relaxing day to do a little cake play. My first attempt with the Sugarveil lace mat. It seemed to go quite well. Quite the tasty little edible lace too! Happy birthday to my Sister in law :)
A super quick little Orange cake with homemade orange curd that I decorated from start to finish in a record 45 minutes!! I loved the super quick chocolate moon topper idea from Rosies Desert Spot. Check her page out. :) Happy Monday.
A very Merry Christmas and Happy holidays for 2016. On my Christmas list this year?? May each and every family find a little more joy, hope..and peace. Have a healthy and safe holiday one and all
A special retirement cake made for a dedicated nurse who is leaving the job after close to 40 years in the business. Chocolate hand made decorations adorn this two layer cake. The top is maple cake with maple pecan buttercream filling and the bottom is vanilla. The edible "prescription " for retirement is well deserved after a wonderful career. ( I blurred the name for privacy purposes)
Happy Halloween
My second attempt with the Russian piping tips. I believe that we have sweet success!
RIP Gene Wilder. You forever changed my childhood with dreams of chocolate rivers, lollipop trees and everlasting gobstoppers.
Not a cake but a sweet yummy treat to share. Fresh baked sprinkle donuts Happy Sunday everyone.
Two different style cakes for a wedding celebration today. The groom wanted chocolate and caramel. Yummy! His needs were met with a naked style deep chocolate cake topped and filled with caramel icing, layered on the top was a gooey caramel sauce and Caramilk pieces. The brides cake was a sweet buttercream flower cake filled with fresh raspberries and strawberries and delicious vanilla icing. It was topped off with some hand piped buttercream flowers. Congratulations to Gitta and Mike!
The completion of 300 mini cupcakes to be donated for tomorrows Cancer Society Relay for Life event in Kingston. I am happy that the participants will have a sweet treat to enjoy after all their hard work..:)
A custom sweet little sailor cake for a baby shower today. All edible with the exception of the mast for the sail. The "sail" is edible rice paper and accents are fondant and sugarpaste. Inside is vanilla cake covered with dark chocolate ganache. Original design by "Cakes by Dusty". A gorgeous Spring day to celebrate in style!
Cupcake toppers that sat atop some special request pina colada cuppies. The pregnant Mom is heading off on maternity leave and her coworkers celebrated her today. Cant wait to meet her soon to be delivered sweet little bundle of joy!
A special order delivery for the beginning of the Blue Jays season 2016. Happy birthday to Jason!! I loved making the little fondant Louisville Slugger bats. Apparently after delivery a real baseball game ensued with the edible details. Too cute..:)
Happy Easter 2016! A quick little two toned buttercream cake with drippy white chocolate icing. Mini eggs complete the look for a fun festive topper.
A return to some "old school" piping on this heart shaped Thank- you cake. It was fun to practice some swirls in buttercream which is making a bit of a return to the cake world.
As January draws to a close the month of love draws near. Some sweet little cookies and kisses to share with the ones you love..<3
Good morning my little Gingermen! Shall we share a sweet gingerbread latte this am?
Ho..ho..ho. Happy holidays 2015. We seem to be missing the snow here in Canada this Xmas season but hopefully these pretty cookie snowflakes will help fill that void. Have a wonderful season filled with health, happiness, kindness and good cheer.
Exactly how I feel!!!
"Watercolour and Wafer". This three tiered ode to the artistic talents of my retiring boss speaks to many of her true talents. She is an avid watercolour artist, a lover of gardening and an elegant woman all around. But most of all she was our mentor, our boss and ultimately our family as well for my entire career. What an honour and a privilege to create this cake for our "Lady Di".
Who doesnt love pumpkin spice?? These little cookies are an homage to my favourite flavour. Shaped liked a little mini donut. Whats not to love?
It was my birthday....so I made myself a cake..:) This return to buttercream cake also showcases the trendy naked or nekkid cake. Dont worry there is plenty of frosting on top for all the icing lovers out there. A fun way to end the weekend!
Chocolate cupcakes with smooth chocolate icing, skor bits and a "peanut butter cookie" topping completely formed of sweet icing. One of the young recipients was so happy with his full tummy of deliciousness that he wrote a letter proclaiming "It tasted like a thousand dollars in his mouth"..what a cutie..:)
