The warm weather is here so that has us thinking about the bbq - so let’s do a freezer meat sale!!! This is the same meat you know and love as in the market, but by filling your freezer, we can make space in ours and save you some money! These are packaged very simply in brown paper bags to keep the costs as low as possible. Quantities are limited - we sold out in 4 days last time, so we’ll keep the online store up to date with stock and let you know as packages sell out. Link in bio to order online or send a message!

Spring is definitely here about 2 to 3 weeks earlier than normal. That has the trees waking up quickly, as we are now into silver tip or even green tip on earlier blooming varieties. At this stage the blossom is still well protected, even if temperatures go below zero! Spring time is a hectic time of the year for many involved in agriculture; tillage, planting, fertilizer all happen at this time of year. It’s also a time of year that many farm vehicles travel the roads at all hours of the day and night. If you are approaching a slow-moving vehicle, please pass with caution!

The dawn of the new year has us reflecting. It's hard to believe that 7 years ago, which is when this photo is from, the market wouldn't have even been open now, because we were seasonal and closed for the winter. Swipe right to see the same view in the market as it looks today - so much is the same, so much is different. 7 years ago, the cooler wall was a wooden shelf - which meant only a single layer of produce could be laid out, and it had to be "put to bed" in the cooler each night. Who knows what the next 7 years will bring?

We're going to do something we've never done before - we're going to have a SALE on our own apples. We want to say goodbye to 2020 and ring in a fresh new year, and spread joy and happiness to start the year right. SO - we will be putting our own Salish apples on sale for a limited time. These apples are crisp, sweet, GORGEOUS colour, a thin skin and store exceptionally well. And hey - if you're looking for something to do while you're on lockdown, these make lovely applesauce or bake well too!
