You might have heard us using the term reactive dog, but what exactly does that mean? People often assume that reactive dogs are aggressive dogs, but the term reactive is simply a label we use to describe a dog that is outwardly reacting, often by lunging, barking, or snapping, to a trigger. Triggers can include other dogs, small animals, people or wheeled objects to name a few. Our goal is to provide owners with the tools and dogs with the skills to successfully navigate the frustration they are feeling and get a reactive dog to a place where they can behave differently around their triggers.
