What a lovely idea!

Fiddle & Banjo Friday takes a mellow turn with the beautiful "Battle of Cedar Creek". Just a heads up that John and I will be doing Quarantine Happy Hour this ...coming Monday (8:30pm EST). We were hoping to be able to do it together, but due to Covid restrictions, we'll each do a 1/2 hour from our respective homes. We'll remind you on Monday, but thought we'd let you know, just in case you want to start mulling your wine early. We learned Battle of Cedar Creek from our friend Scott Prouty. We have learned so many tunes from Scott that we should probably be paying him some sort of royalty. He's to Lonesome Ace what Leslie Riddle was to the Carter Family! Scott is also my oldest friend in old-time music (Coole typing here). We met at Augusta Heritage Center way back in the early 90's and have been playing music together ever since. So, if you're ever wondering where we dig up all these cool tunes, and want to get a little closer to the (our) source, you should check out Scott's wonderful album "Shaking Down the Acorns" which was put out by The Old-Time Tiki Parlour earlier this year. Hello Folks! Gopher Broke Orchestra has decided to get on board with this Play Music On The Porch Day idea! Alas, we don’t have a porch but we do have a front yard!
