Did you know we are now accepting WorkSafe BC patients? Daniel Kim is the physio to see for your workplace related injury and/or surgery.
Our therapists are starting to get vaccinated this week. We are doing everything we can to stay healthy and safe so you can stay healthy and well too! Check out our highlights to join Grace on her vaccination adventure from the clinic to VGH.
We’re looking for great RMT and Physio talent at Go! Physiotherapy. Interested? Let us know!! #rmtbc #bc_physio #inspirehealthbc #vchhealthcare #fraserhealth # YVR #physiotherapyjobs #massagetherapist #dunbarvillage
DOUBLE MASK WHAT DOES IT MEAN? . We are asking that all those attending our clinic to consider wearing two masks (or wear a medical grade mask). Doubling your mask is a simple way to protect others and yourself as we are anticipating an increasing presence of the more contagious COVID-19 variants. Thanks for keeping us all safe!
Personalized Blood Flow Restriction (PBFR) training offered @gophysiotherapy. Innovative rehabilitation for post- injury or surgery to enhance tissue repair, muscle strength hypertrophy or aerobic fitness. Contact us to learn more or give it a try for yourself!
Hey Vancouver! Is the rain dampening your plans to get outside? Try getting up to the mountains where the snow is. Walking and even playing in the snow is great for joint and muscle stiffness, cardiac health, stress management, and improving mood including helping with depression and anxiety. Just remember to plan well ahead and be prepared with the outdoor essentials and respect the elements.
Another repost of graphic from @fraserhealth. Thanks for sharing!
The new restrictions in BC are a new challenge, but also a good reminder that we can care for our community and friends and family well by staying in a little more. You can, however, go for a walk with one person (not groups!), so get out there and enjoy.
We may not know what tomorrow may bring, but know that we at Go! Physiotherapy aim to help you to not only maintain but progress your movement, health and wellness in a safe way. We continue to offer virtual online visits via telerehab using Jane (web and mobile versions offered). Some people are doing a combination of virtual and in-person visit. Know that we are here to help in any way possible. #telerehab #telehealth #virtualhealth #provinceofbc #covid_19 #covid #physiotherapy #rehab #bcphysio #gophysio #vancouverphysio #healthylifestyle #workfromhome #workfromhomelife #wfh #vancouver #fitness #ctv #globalnews #cbcvancouver
You may have seen our Kinesiologist, Steve Dempster, around the clinic or on our YouTube channel with exercise videos during this pandemic. But did you know that in his free time, he has been learning about nutrition, environmental sustainability and electric vehicles. He is constantly looking for ways to lessen his carbon footprint, to eat locally produced foods, and re-use as much as possible. A few years ago he did a Permaculture Design course on Saltspring Island that completetly changed his life. You can ask him about it next time you are training with him. If you, like many others, are missing routine exercise sessions and are looking for creative and safe ways to exercise with a trainer, talk to Steve.
Hey everyone! If you haven’t met Angus Tse yet, you should! Angus is a Kinesiology student at UBC and works at the front desk part-time. He also helps teach posture, stability and mobility exercises to our older adult population. He practices and teaches krav maga (self-defence martial arts) at UBC.
Have a great weekend, all! This is our lymphedema physio, Sam Deakin, with her dog, Gus. Did you know that dogs keep owners healthy? Some benefits to dog ownership: decreased blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride levels, decreased feelings of loneliness (hey, Covid!), increased opportunities for physical activity and socialization.

It’s Bike to Work week. Have you logged your hours with @hubcycling ? Our physio Sam Deakin normally would be travelling and exploring the world with her hubby Dave (see last post) by e-bike, but hey, it’s 2020. We live in one of the best places of the world to explore by bike and never lose the wonder.
In our next series of posts, we want to take some time to allow you get to know some of the amazing people that make up our team we have here at Go! Physio. Sam Deakin, pictured here in her 2018 trip to New Zealand with her hubby, Dave, is one of our physiotherapists that specializes in post-cancer treatment, particularly Manual Lymph Drainage. They love to travel together, so you can imagine how this #covid19 pandemic is changing how they have been doing their exploring together. Follow along to find out how they've been navigating their travels this past season. If you want to find out more about Manual Lymph Drainage, Lymphedema and cancer rehab, OR if you want to book an appointment with Sam, follow the link in our profile.

Here’s a shot of our physio, Grace Cheung, mid-way through her Triple Crown ride a couple weeks ago. It took her up Mount Seymour, Grouse, and Cypress Mountain, the last of which where she encountered some very kind folks from Meraloma Bike Club and Balance Physiotherapy who offered her desperately needed water, Gatorade and good cheer in the afternoon heat. Much thanks to you all!

Or just some rainy day movements while working from home
Have you seen our videos that our Kinesiologist, Steve Dempster, and physio, Daniel Kim, have put together to help you stay moving while in isolation? Perfect for a rainy day like today. https://youtu.be/mWPcOfg_CJY
Swipe through for some in-person clinic instructions. @ Vancouver, British Columbia
Weve just started in-person visits at the clinic today. What does an in-person visit at Go! Physio look like these Covid days? Watch this to prepare for your upcoming visit. While telerehab visits are still preferred, all visitors to the clinic must complete a pre-visit health screen.

If you do experience ANY symptoms of illness, please stay at home. FEVER, HEADACHES, DRY COUGH, BREATHING DIFFICULTIES Thank you for your continued patronage and faith in our clinic and staff. We will keep you posted with any changes that may be coming our way.
A warm welcome to our newest physiotherapist, Daniel Kim! Like 2 of our other physios (Grace and Janet) on the team at Go!, he is a Mac grad as well, from McMaster University. Daniel is taking new patients, so book now! And when you see him , you can ask him about his sports injuries.
