She is head woman for the Eastern Doorway of the Three Fires Midewewin Lodge, Mukwa Dodem. She is well-known nationally as a Traditional teacher, ceremonialist, singer, storyteller, drum keeper and grandmother. She has been instrumental in the re-introduction of Traditional teachings and ceremonies in the local area and is an active researcher of Traditional medicines. Edna is the founder of the annual Indigenous women’s symposium at Trent University. It was through her vision that Indigenous Studies and Trent started Nozhem Theatre, an Indigenous performance space that is developing an international reputation in Indigenous theatre and dance performance. Edna is also an actress and was featured in the powerful film Indian Horse based on the novel by Richard Wagamese. Miigwech for joining us. Thank you to everyone who came and supported our small business this summer, we appreciate you and we were glad to provide a little respite from COVID-19. None of us can be completely sure what the next 8 months has in store, before we open our doors for another season, but please be kind to one another, take precautions to keep yourself and others safe and look back fondly on your time relaxing in our forest whenever you need to ground yourself. The end of our season is always bitter sweet, it means the end of summer but also the welcoming of fall with its beautiful leaves, crisp air, and spectacular night sky. Consider this our last call for campers (we close September 27th).

What a great summer of camping, but it's not completely done yet. Only three days left to stay at the Park this season, we are closing up September 27th.
