Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 How have you seen your faith rewarded?

For a long time Israel was without the true God, without a priest to teach them, and without the Law to instruct them. But whenever they were in trouble and turned to the Lord, the God of Israel, and sought him out, they found him. 2 Chronicles 15:3-4 NLT April 6 is a day Premier Jason Kenney has designated as Day of Prayer and Reflection across Alberta. Thank God that we have this opportunity to be heard and acknowledged, not just by our Government, but by God. In light of e...verything going on in the life of our province, our leaders are seeking wisdom, renewed strength and direction from a higher authority. This is the help of God. As a Church, we have the choice to dismiss this as political posturing or accept this as an invitation to step into the gap, clearly visible in our culture. As a Christian, I assume you are very used to hearing the phrase and oft quoted Scripture to pray for those in authority. But the difference in today is that we are being INVITED to step into our spiritual role as a praying people and become the praying priest from 2 Chronicles 15 (above). And we are blessed to have the Law in our hands, which is the pathway and promise of God’s Word. So, as we turn to God in our trouble, let’s pray: - For God’s mercy, on the sick, the disadvantaged in society and all others affected by hardship right now. - For God’s direction upon our provincial government, Premier Kenney, all City and rural councils as they navigate in 2021. - For God’s help in the hospitals, social agencies and every frontline organization serving the public. - For God’s favor on businesses, industries and every aspect of our economy. - For God’s forgiveness. Each of us need the saving grace of Jesus Christ and have the choice to turn to God for a better way. Please take a moment today in this prayer. What are you doing to serve someone else today? In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant.

Welcome to Gospel Centre Online! This weekend, Pastor Dino Skariah discusses Lessons on Faith & Fame. Your Storm is Jesus’ Red Carpet In a subtle manner, Matthew 14 juxtaposes the difference between an earthly king and the Heavenly King. Earthly kings are concerned about their fame and selfish ambitions. They are controlled by fear and the approval of people in order to protect their position. The Heavenly King, Jesus, is concerned about doing the will of the Father and seek...ing the welfare and wellbeing of the people, not self-protection. Often great victories are preceded and succeeded by storms to temper us. Having said that, the same chapter ends with the Great King, Jesus, training His disciples in the power of faith. He is training them in Faith to conquer and walk on the same sea with the storm under their feet. Let’s believe that you are going to walk on the same storms you are facing in your life. Let us declare in faith I am not going under, but GOING OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE, TO MY DESTINY AND PURPOSE. See more
