DEZ is AVAILABLE for ADOPTION! Well, here I am again!! Third time's a charm right? Yes, this is my third visit to the GTHS and hopefully my last... I'm a Northern boy who arrived here as a puppy and now I'm a teenager looking for my special forever family. Through no fault of my own, I have once again returned and I know in my young heart, it will be my last visit as I just KNOW I'm going to find that perfect home this time around. So, what does that home look like you... might ask? Well, first of all, I'm a VERY active boy and need a family who are up for lots of outdoor adventures so that I can expend my energy in positive ways. Having a fur sibling would be super cool as I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE dogs and playing with them helps me burn off that excess energy too. My team here tells me that I walk beautifully on a leash for a good size dog of 28 Kg (about 60 pounds), so long hikes on the trail would be a fun way to spend a few hours. So I heard through the grapevine (thank you Oshawa Animal Service Center), that today September 1 was Ginger Cat Appreciation Day, and whaddayaknow I just happen to have one! Welcoming Stitch to the Gotcha! family. He and a sweet wee 11 year old girl now make their home in our studio! Stitch is the perfect blend of orange tabby & Devon Rex. He is super affectionate and loves people! Happy day to my sweet boy! BRUCE is AVAILABLE for ADOPTION! My name is Bruce and I'm a very handsome 3 year old guy. And a pretty good size at about 15lbs!! I came to the GTHS as a stray back in June, so unfortunately my history is a bit of a question mark! I'm still sort of settling in here at the Animal Centre, but am making major progress. Maybe this will be my first time living in a "home!" In which case, I will need a patient and kind human who will be okay to give me the time I need to sett...le in to my new surroundings. I was prettttty unsure of, well, just about everything when I first arrived here. I would hide ALL of the time and had very little interest in interacting with the GTHS humans. But, over the past few weeks as I've gotten more comfortable and the GTHS humans have allowed me to come around at my own pace, I'm starting to actually seek out attention and you can hear me purrr and purrrr when you come visit me. What a difference already! SO, if you decide to pick me (please, please, give me a chance), just remember that it might take me a few weeks to get comfortable with you and my new home, but I PROMISE, if you give me the time I need, I will blossom into the sweetest boy!!! Oh, you might also be wondering about this other cat in my pic...haha! That's Sammy! She's decided I'm her boyfriend and spends allllll of her time hanging out RIGHT beside me. We get along very well and I think she's kind of deemed me her safety blanket and protector! haha who knows! Maybe we'll be lucky a find a home together?! I should probably also let you know that I'm an FIV+ cat! Don't worry though! That doesn't mean I can't live a long and happy life with you! I am a special kitty but I don't require much more care than any other kitty cat. All I need is a vet visit twice a year to make sure I'm in my best shape! Just ask one of our adoption councilors to explain how awesome FIV+ cats are, we give the most love! MUM is ADOPTED! Hey hoomans!!! It's me, Mum! Like, you know, the beautiful flower!! But, I was also a "mom" haha so, I guess my name is fitting for a few reasons!... In fact, you might remember seeing my little baby, Daisy, available for adoption. I can be a little quiet at first while I'm getting to know you, but it's not long before my playful, snuggle-loving personality starts to shine! PANDORA is ADOPTED! It's me! Pandora! And, common, I've got to be the prettiest orange fluffball you've ever seen, right?! I'm a 3 month old kitten here at the GTHS patiently waiting for my new family to come choose me and take me home! My siblings and I were found allll alone with no one to care for us, so we're now at the GTHS to find loving new homes!! Although we've only been here for a short while so far, we're already major purrr machines and snuggly babies. When... we sleep in a big pile together, we sound a bit like a big group of motorcylces cuz we all purrrr SO loud together hehe We're very cute (obviously), very sweet, and very loving and cuddly. TEDDY is ADOPTED! Are you looking for a bundle of fluffy love, cuz I'm looking for you !! Hi there, my name is Teddy! Yes as in Teddy Bear - do you see the resemblance to that cute stuffed dog you used to drag around with you as a kid...well, that's me come back in real life hehe I came to the GTHS not too long ago through the Transfer Program from way up North!... But, I should tell you, I had a bit of an accident and a run-in with a car...I know, NOT fun for a Teddy Bear! But don't worry, I've had medicine from the doggie doctor and lots of rest to help my leg heal and now I'm ready to get back to enjoying life! AND! Hopefully with a loving new family!!! Let's see...what else can I tell you about myself.... Well, I really am the perfect size for a great family dog as I'm only about 40 pounds (18kg) and they tell me I should try to stay nice and slim so I don't put too much stress on my injured leg. I'm just a young guy too at about a year old. But my VERY favourite thing in the entire, whole wide world is DOGGIES!!! I'm a very, very shy boy with the humans still, so other dogs are my very best friend. I will run and play with another dog alllll day long if I could! Plus, having another doggie around and to learn from really helps my confidence when it comes to people. So, I will be looking to find a home where there is another dog already - a playful and social dog would be very best for a guy like me! I know there are lots of great homes out there without dogs would who love me sooo much, but in this case, it's going to help ME be most successful if I can have a doggie sibling. WILLIE is ADOPTED! It's me, Willie! and I'm so happy to be here! I recently arrived at the GTHS through the Transfer Program from way up North! And boy oh boy....has it been a "rough road" (not literally...but I'll get into that soon)... I'm a very, very sweet 1 year old boy who's currently weighing in at just over 50lbs! Long and leggy, that's me hehe As you can probably guess from my photos and Northern background, I'm likely a Husky mix of sorts and sure talk like one!! haha I'm a chatty dude, who will tell you all sorts of things from full stories, to letting you know when I want to go out or play! So clever, eh! Soooo, if you have neighbours who aren't fans of story-telling doggies, maybe we're not going to be the best fit... In addition to being very sweet, I'm also very cuddly. BIG time cuddly! Who doesn't love that? And I really am excited to go out for lots of fun adventures, since I'm a young and active guy. Which, leads me to the next part of my story... I guess I should tell you that I had a little....run in....with one of those "car" things before I made my way to GTHS. I'm not going to lie, it was pretttty painful and walking was very tricky, so I wasn't using my back leg much. But don't feel too bad for me! The GTHS humans got me in to see the doggie doctor right away and I've already had surgery and am feeling MUCH better!! Although I'm still on the awful "cage rest," the humans say I need it for two whole weeks following my surgery to make sure everything heals properly and I don't hurt myself again! After that, I'll be able to slowly and gradually build back up to regular exercise. I'm already SO excited for that! So, it will be very very important that I find a human or family who is able to give me the cage rest I need and allow me to heal slowly so I can get back to my happy, healthy and playful self! ELSA is ADOPTED! My name is Elsa, and I mean, if you're a Frozen fan, you'll see why that's so fitting!! Cuz I'm so snowy white! hehe Oh and I'm just teeny right now, at about 6 or 7lbs! I'm a stunning (obviously) and silly little 10 month old girl, here at GTHS to find my purrrfect home. I was actually transferred here from another rescue organization, where I had shown up as a stray...so, my history is a bit of a question mark. But that's okay, right?! I have a, uh, p...retty quirky personality haha the GTHS humans tell me that I'm one of those kitties that gets "overstimulated" sometimes. It doesn't mean I'm not sweet and affectionate! It just helps if I have a cat-savvy who understands that and can give me my space when I'm not in an affectionate mood. We had some fun plans for Tails of the Mountain 2020, but with #covid19 throwing everyone a giant curveball, we have to focus on 2021's sure-to-be-awesome festival. We had hoped to surprise some of our repeat customers with Christmas-in-August mini sessions, since our last minis took place in Aurora in October of 2016! We will be offering minis this year, but they will be by appointment only. We will offer digital, ornament or greeting card packages, more news on that in ...September.
