Had a great run around Newcastle Island with Jackie and Josephine and Sasha the dog this morning. We even got a friendly tourist to take our photo on these giant millstones left over from when that was one of the local industries. I dropped into visit Hannah and Taren at the Running Room yesterday and delivered them a box of Tim Hortons muffins (better than donuts, right?). This wonderful little running store at the Country Club helped me on the road to coaching many years ago. I took and then lead many road running clinics from that location and met a ton of running friends. I've known Hannah since those days and have seen her rise through the ranks to become the current store manager. It's great to h...ave options in the crazy running-obsessed town! Yes, this was one of the Bastion Run Club Challenges - to show appreciation of our local running stores. You guys are great! Oops forgot to mention, considering this is also a running post, that I ran at the track in the morning: 250m, 150m, rest, 120m, 80m, rest, 100x2, rest, 80m, 120m. When you get asked to run a relay, as part of the Bastion Run Club Spring Fling Challenge, with some old friends that you used to race against way back when we used to do that, you get up extra early, boat across the water, and head up to Westwood Lake. Notice how we all dressed in the Bastion team singlets, with me choosing a lovely retro version. It was such a beautiful morning and we had so much fun, even without any hugs! Thanks to Pat's granddaughter for putting this video together for us! Also part of the team were: Maria, Vicky, and Holly.

A little plyo jumping at the track yesterday. I managed to nail 10 jumps at this height (75cm). Not sure I'm ready for the next height yet. #plyojumps #trackandfield
