With more rain expected this week in the Grande Prairie region, this is a great time to take a few moments to ensure your sump pump is continuing to work at its intended capacity. Check out the video link below for the steps to do so. Also check to make sure your downspout extensions and outside sump pump hose are in place. This means they are directing the water away from your foundation...and your neighbours foundation. Sometimes the 30 seconds can save ...you thousands of dollars! This is what ends up in the infrastructure when items like baby wipes and paper towels are flushed down the toilets. Wrapped around the pump is various paper p...roducts along with hair and grease build up. The build up of these items can create major havoc on our sewer systems which can lead to clogs and back ups. To avoid this, remember only 4P's go down the toilet - Pee, Poo, Paper (toilet) and Puke!

How to Check for Wind Damage Look for missing and damaged shingles (damaged shingles might be curled, cracked, or torn) on your roof or around your property. If this type of damage is localized (i.e., it covers less than 30 percent of the entire roof), roofing repairs might be able to address the problem. More extensive damage might necessitate roof replacement. Also keep in mind that not only the roof itself, but the chimney, ventilation pipes, roof flashing, gutters, sidin...g and fencing can also become damaged during high winds. Be sure to inspect them for damage as well. If you notice any damage, the next step is to call a qualified contractor before the damage escalates into a larger problem.
Don’t be caught by surprise! Make sure to check your furnace vents for ice build up!!
