Well for the few hours that it took place, the town wide Gilbert Plains Garage Sale and BBQ were a complete success! We’ve raised just over $1300 for the cause and can’t thank everyone who helped us get here enough! A Huge thank you to Shannon Priest, Sam Yakimishen & Gracie Fawns from Fusion Credit Union for their sponsorship of the BBQ supplies and tent! Ryan Pazuik at Family Foods for supplying of condiments and supplies... Jay Forsyth for delivery of the BBQ and tank. Als...o many big thanks to Jodi Kaskiw, Tori Dykun, Allison Watson, Chayse Stoski, Anika & Kayden Gulenchin for their amazing help during the sale. Western Bakery in Dauphin for their sponsorship of the buns & Al & Brenda Senko for the sponsorship of the ice to keep the drinks cold! This past week has been such a whirlwind with all of the fundraisers that took place! Gilbert Plains Coop has come through again for the Splashpark with Fuel Good Day by donating a total of $396.38 raised!!! To add to that total... Trevor & Mitch from Integra Tire have matched that total to give us a total amount of $792.76!!! So we’d like to give a huge Thanks to the staff of the service station including Sharmin, Tamara, Allison, Cali, Robert and the rest of the dedicated staff for making this possible! Trevor & Mitch, you guys rock! If you want top notch service and amazing sale prices on tires, go see Integra Tire!!!! Also of course YOU! The patrons of Coop! You made this possible! Thank you!

Well what a week it has been for the Gilbert Plains Splash Park Int. From the success of the field of putting over 7000 bushels in the bin & a potential payday of $80,000 or possibly more! (We will keep you all informed of the progress of that in the coming weeks to give you a more accurate number! So starting off with the field grow project! We really need to thank all of the volunteers that came out on Monday to get this canola in the bin! Huge Thank You to Deryl & Colleen ...Dykun for their generous use of the land and the crop management throughout the growing process. Your keen farming sense made it what it is today Deryl & Colleen, a total success! All of the volunteers with Richard Jones, Brent Yurkiw, Gerald Hominiuk, Dylan Hominiuk, Alvin Dykun, Brett Ewanyshyn, Gordon Kilford, Dominic Gamache, Rob Steinwandt from Mazer Equipment with the only yellow machine! Tyson & Steegan Stoski for the amazing drone footage that we will have edited and released for all to see in the near future and also their combine in the field! Steven & Kimberley Perih from Perih Heavy Duty for his expertise if there was a breakdown (which there wasn't) and Kim for keeping everyone organized! Bryan Romanow & Swirvin' Mervin Odut from Brendonn Holdings Petro Canada in Dauphin for the fuel truck and quick service!!! Our local media of Bob Gilroy from the Dauphin Herald who came out and snapped a few pics and Isaac Wihak from 730 CKDM for their coverage! Much appreciated gents! Not only did we fuel all the equipment but the helpers also and a Huge Thank You to Tammy & Kevin Lynch & staff from Putter's Cafe & Lounge for the human fuel to keep everyone fed! Last but certainly not least, Vern Ellis! You have been instrumental in getting this project off the ground with all of your connections of sponsors and keeping us all on time!
