Following the May 4th announcement, please note new guidelines for our club. Outdoor recreation facilities may remain open, but only for use with members from the same household, or those who live alone and their close contact. This comes into effect on Sunday, and will remain in place until May 31st at minimum. If you require further clarification please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
A big thank you to John D., and Jack W., who have been working hard to clear the snow on the courts in preparation for the upcoming season. If this weather keeps up we anticipate getting out there sooner rather than later. Please bear with us as we finalize COVID protocols and get things organized behind the scenes. We will send an email out with an update soon and will make an announcement as soon as courts are open!
Well that's it for this outdoor season , the courts are now closed. Thank you to all members and guests for complying with all the changes and regulations the club had to introduce to so that we were able to be open this summer. We look forward to seeing you next year!
Are you making the most of this gorgeous weather? Ladies night is tonight 7-9pm. Let’s get those courts filled! Are you making the most of this gorgeous weather? Ladies night is tonight 7-9pm. Let’s get those courts filled!

Thank you to all of you who have purchased memberships for the 2020 season. It is great to see so many new names and players at the club. Please be aware that the court code will be updated at the end of this month and new codes will be provided to paid members only from that point forward. The new code will be sent via email so please ensure you check your inbox for details.
In accordance with COVID-19 pandemic, the following rules are mandatory for all players. Please ensure you follow them so we can continue to enjoy our sport safely. - Games should be kept at 1.5 hr maximum time slots if there are players waiting for court space. Singles only. - Play should be in line with the government's advised social distancing measures, including when arriving to and departing from a court. - Social spaces (such as the sheds and bathrooms) will be close...d, if they are open they still should not be used. - Players are advised not to change ends during play. - Avoid close proximity when resting. - Ensure no physical contact during games - no hand shakes or high fives. - For tennis balls, the use of personal balls is mandatory. Each player is to have their own tennis balls identified by number, brand, or writing their initials in a different color than the opposing player and ensure that they are the only person to touch that tennis ball with their hands. For other tennis balls, other methods such as lifting with a foot and racket or scooping up from the ground with the racket could be used. - Avoid touching your face. - Players should wash hands before and after a tennis session without exception or use an alcohol-based sanitizer if hand-washing is not possible. - Clean and wipe down your equipment, including rackets and water bottles. - Do not share equipment. - No extra-curricular or social activity should take place. We are beyond thrilled to be the recipients of a generous donation from the Rotary Club of Grande Prairie. As a non-profit organisation, support like this goes a long way to help maintain current facilities, paves the way for future infrastructure and allows the club to continue expanding the programs it has to offer. Thank you Rotarians!
