Attention Skyhawks On Monday, March 29th the kind owners of East Avenue Dining will be treating the whole school to an amazing lunch!! This year the Quintanilla family joined our community and their young son is now a welcomed addition to GR Saunders. A few weeks ago they approached us and asked if we would accept a special gift from them. To celebrate the anniversary of their citizenship, they wanted to give back to their community by offering a spaghetti dinner to everyo...ne who would like one. The meals are being prepackaged and delivered. Covid protocols will be followed and gluten free options will be given to those in need. For those who don't wish to have a spaghetti lunch, you may bring your own or order from the cafeteria as per usual. We are truly overwhelmed by this very generous act of kindness and we are all looking forward to Monday See more

Contest Alert Who wants to help us out? We are looking for some new Skyhawks to join our flock in September. Due to current restrictions, we were unable to have our traditional Primary Registration day. So, we must rely on our wonderful school community for help. All we ask is that you LIKE AND SHARE this post. Everyone that performs this simple task, will have their child entered into a draw to win some GR swag and a few other fun prizes! ... We also know that we have had new families recently move to our wonderful little town and they may not know about this process either. Happy Spring & happy last day of March Break! As we look forward to welcoming our Skyhawks back to school tomorrow, we would like send a few reminders.... 1. Water Bottles - Please send your child with a refillable water bottle. As the nicer weather gets closer they will become even more of a necessity! 2. Mud - This is sure to be an issue this week and in the weeks to follow. Splash pants, proper footwear and an extra change of clothes could be very valuable (and may sav...e you a trip to the school) until things dry up! 3. Cafeteria - Please continue to fill out order forms and send correct amount of money when ordering. Orders should be sent in a baggie or envelope. If you need more order forms, have your child ask their teacher or they can be found on the website to print at home. This will be Week 2 on the menu! 4. Lost & Found - these items are piling up again. If your child is missing something please have them check to to see if their missing things are there. They surely belong to somebody. That's also why we always encourage you to put your name on things. That way they can be easily returned to their owners!
