This Sunday, Pastor Jeff faithfully brings us back to Romans 6:1-14 to preach on the topic of ‘Life’. What misunderstandings do we have about new life in Christ? What should our lives look like in light of the new life in Christ? Please join us as we worship and grow in His word today. https://youtu.be/Fm2WuqrQdPo

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. - Proverbs 16:9 While many of us anticipated the Fall Market earlier this year, circumstances beyond our control have lead us to not hold it this autumn. We will rest in God's sovereignty throughout the rest of the year and, Lord willing, we will be able to come back strong next year!
Our second instalment of ‘What Are You Reading Wednesday’ comes to us from our very own Pastor Jeff Eastwood, who recommends ‘Gentle and Lowly’ by Dane Ortlund. Dane Ortlund has written my favourite book of 2020 thus far. Most Christians are aware of what Christ has done for them, but we rarely ask how He feels about us. What is His heart towards us? Picking up from Thomas Goodwin's "The Heart of Christ", Ortlund unpacks for us, with great skill and care, the reality tha...t Jesus Himself describes His own heart in only one place in the Gospels- Matthew 11:28-30. And what is Jesus' heart towards sinners and sufferers? Gentle and lowly. What a Saviour!" A man who devours godly books with a passion, Pastor Jeff’s recommendations do not come lightly. Thank you Pastor Jeff for your diligent recommendation and your commitment to lifelong learning and instructing others about The Lord. See more

In this video, Pastor Jeff will be addressing the upcoming changes with the Sunday service, the reintroduction of Kingdom Kidz (in November), baby dedications and our annual members meeting.
Pastor Jeff has a few very important announcement going live tonight at 7PM. Thank you for your patience.
Before you watch this video, we want to take a moment to thank each and every one of our congregants for your flexibility and understanding in our post Covid-19 church. While we are quite blessed to still be holding events at our church, we would like you to join Pastor Jeff as he explains the expected protocol of the Open House celebrations this coming Sunday at 6:30PM in honour of the Thomson’s.
All of our seats are reserved for Sunday! Thank you everyone for reserving in advance. See you on Sunday, good Lord willing! If you weren’t available to get a seat this Sunday, we will be posting the link to our LiveStream this Sunday.
Welcome to our first instalment of ’What Are You Reading Wednesday’s’ where members of our church share their most recommended reads of their Christian walk. - - - Our first contributor is Timothy Wonnacott, a sincere young man who is highly recommending ‘An Orthodox Catechism’ by Hercules Collins.... - Hercules Collins’ ‘An Orthodox Catechism’ has been a major encouragement in my Christian walk through strengthening and establishing truths in Gods word. It has been used to show the size and seriousness of my sins, while reminding me that the gospel of Christ refreshes our soul leaving us free of guilt. - Thank you so much Timothy Wonnacott for being our first contributor, and for recommending such a mighty read. We are proud to introduce a very special lady who will be serving The Lord in our building in the coming months. A wonderful addition to our island, Judy Gillis was born in a lovely rural community in Sackville, New Brunswick. She pledged her life to Christ at the young age of twelve. One of her favourite studies that she devoured early in her walk was ‘Road to Emmaeus’, which covered the book of Romans. Judy would later go on to meet her husband through a music group call...ed ‘The New Christian Singers’, of which they were both members, and would later go on to marry in 1981. She is the mother of two adult daughters, one of which is with The Lord. Judy is currently working in our building as a counselling intern through Athabasca University, supervised by Dianne Birt. Her passion for helping people heal through the gospel is quite tangible and her nature is warm and friendly. Judy’s life has been a wonderful story of redemption and God’s gracious sovereignty. You can find her in her office at Grace Baptist church for the next seven months. Judy also avidly blogs and you can find her work at http://get-unwrapped.blogspot.com . We are so grateful to be a part of such a fantastic healing ministry, and we ask that you keep Judy and her work in your prayers in the coming months. See more

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death even death on a cross! -Philippians 2:5-8
