Ranuculus , they are one of our most favorite flowers. Ranunculus flowers look almost too perfect to be real. Their delicate rose-like blossoms have tissue-thin petals and they come in colors that range from cream and pale yellow to apricot, pink, orange, red and burgundy. Though not often seen in home gardens, the exquisite flowers of ranunculus are a staple in high-end flower shops and wedding bouquets. Some types available at local nurseries are a short stemmed variety but we will be making some of the taller florist strain Amandines, La Belles and Butterfly types available for purchase for you to try in your own gardens or pots. Watch our website for coming availability.

2020 has been a heck of a year. We home that all our customers have a happy , well and safe Christmas. Many friends may remember that before flowers, I had a chocolate manufacturing/retail business in the 1980’s. We have continued over the years to make for family and friends at the holidays. Im contemplating whether or not to start that up again to aument the flower business. What do you think?

Just when I think we are all done, a few hardy producers present a few more flowers. The forecast this week is for more frost but I do love the last hurrah! And I have found that the back gardens are zone 5b and have had several frosts but the ones in the front are zone 6a, a few degrees warmer and no frost......yet. Who knew?
