Did you know that April is earth month? We thought what better reason to become a green circle salon starting April 15th! What does this mean? ... We are now going to be recycling everything from the colour we use, to the tea bags we drink, to the foils we take out of our hair! Why? Because the beauty industry is the 3rd leading cause of pollution in North America! What will we be doing with everything? 63,000 pounds of hair is thrown out every day, with green circle the hair will be taken to be composted and become biocomposite plastic! The metals, foil, colour tubes will be melted down to become car parts, bicycles! We will also be recycling our PPE, that will become clean energy! We are so passionate about doing our part in helping keep our planet green! Happy Sunday!

i lovvvvve the insight you guys give me for posts , man it’s so helpful knowing what you guys want to know about, gracias :). let’s talk shampoo ! i shampoo my extensions once a week and top wash my natural hair twice a week ( everything above my natural track). it takes a bit to get us to washing your hair less but I promise it’s a game changer .... using high quality goods. I will say this again and again because it is the moat important thing with extensions. the @ilesformula_hair the shampoo is highly concentrated . this means that you need less of the product but it needs water to suds up. for iles lather it on your head and in between the rows then dip your head back in / out of the water. the extra water will make it bubbly. once a month I do a light clarifying shampoo. @kevin.murphy maxi wash is my fave! build up can occur over time with your extensions and weigh them down. Clarifying them will keep their light fluff . cold water. guys this is a game changer not just an urban myth. yes , as you shower use warm water but after conditioning turn the tap to cool (you can step your body away from the water if you hate freezing your buns off). then rinse your hair with the cool water. this will eliminate frizz, keep your hair so smooth and lock in all that needed moisture .

Good morning; story time. A few days ago I was sitting in my chair when a guest who’d only been in the studio once before came in. With grown out roots and the need for connection we began catching up, she’s been my guest for 3+ years. ... Towards the end of the appointment she leans forward and says people seem like really happy here being someone very receptive to energy she continues I’ve never been in a salon where the vibes are so good And I just smiled and agreed cause this is what I’ve dreamt of my entire life, to be genuinely happy and for people to see it as infectious. yesterday was the first day of the rest of our lives at our new home . words cannot being to express the gratitude we are feeling. welcome all to GRACELAND .

you are capable ... far more capable than you can even imagine . from a young age we are told that, anything you set your mind to , you can achieve. over time, when roadblocks in life are put in our way to test us, we start to doubt and question this. don’t. take the situation you have in front of you and make your life what you want ! there will be doubt , there will be setbacks , there will be people who will want to see you fail , intentionally put roadblocks in your... way, disrespect you, but honey , this is just the setup of an obstacle course . the most empowering part is getting through it . rising above, leaving them behind. lean on your family and friends and I promise you, you will figure it out and you will be proud af when you are at the end. we started demolition of the space on January 6th. today, TWENTY EIGHT days later we are setting up to open, over a month ahead of schedule. twenty eight days of family and friends working around the clock. the work that has been put into GRACE is truly incredible . stay tuned guys , we moved mountains for y’all and soon, GRACE will be the place we all call home See more
