Open for Business!!! We are so excited! We have missed you, but we are open for business starting July 1st. The Atlantic provinces have agreed to a "travel bubble" allowing visitors from Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI to travel between these provinces without quarantine after arrival. Visitors to PEI will be required to complete an online form for submission upon entering the province along with the necessary documents to show residency in Atlantic Canada.... In light of the above, we have a special offer for our Atlantic friends. Covid-19 Update To all who have booked with us this season or who are considering booking, we want to provide you with an update. We have been very fortunate here on the Island with only 27 cases to date and 25 of those are recovered. We have had no deaths from the virus and none have even required hospitalization. Despite this, we are still subject to restrictions to contain the virus. Here are the restrictions from PEI Health Department: Currently: We are not allowed to be... open. June 12: We can open but only for visitors who are residents of PEI. Final Phase: Will allow us to open completely but no date has been set for this. Please be aware that the Cavendish Beach Music Festival scheduled for July 10-12 has been cancelled. We will provide further updates as dates become available. Thanks to our many friends who have contacted us to see how we weathered the storm on the weekend. We did sustain some damage, most notably, the shingles on one side of the roof on the pool. We also lost 2 large trees and some smaller ones and some other minor damage. We lost our power for 48 hours but it came back on last night. We have a 14 kw generator that powers the whole Inn and it got us through to yesterday morning but then it stopped working. We are in the process of... getting it repaired to cover us for any future power loss. In summary, it was a wild weekend but it could have been a lot worse. In addition to our six B&B rooms, we now also offer a newly renovated, two bedroom, bright and cheery basement apartment for short term rentals. With it's own entrance, it sleeps up to six with one bedroom with a queen bed, one bedroom with two twin beds and a good quality pull-out sofa in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped to do your own cooking but if you want to indulge in our three course breakfasts, we charge $10 per person. You also have access to our indoor, saltwater pool located in the same building. We are So Proud! Canadian Living magazine has named our local town of North Rustico as one of the 20+ Small Towns in Canada to visit. They mention restaurants, beaches and fishing as the attractions. Combine this with our central location on the island, beautiful scenery and proximity to the Cavendish attractions and you have a "must visit" destination. Reservations are starting to come in so if you're considering spending time with us this summer, make your reservation now and avoid disappointment!

So much local talent! Larry and I had the opportunity to see the musical "Anne and Gilbert" at the Guild Theatre in Charlottetown recently. What a great presentation. If you are staying with us next season, we recommend you check it out.

Home sweet home! 16 days later.... it's so great to be home from the hospital. Heartfelt Thank yous will never express my gratitude to the nurses, doctors, family, friends, neighbours and guests for all the care and prayers on my behalf. The support, love and kindness has been overwhelming. I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things here at the Inn. I have missed it and everyone greatly. God Bless, Laurie
