I know I don't post that much on this page, but some exciting things are happening in Highwood.

I am a huge fan of the CFL but I have some serious concerns about their request for a $150 million bailout. That is why I published a opinion piece in the Herald about some unanswered questions and how the league needs to be more transparent to taxpayers and fans. On this day, one year ago, I ceased to be a MLA because the election got call. For 28 days life moved with a sense of urgency. I was barely home, I barely saw my family (unless they were door knocking with me) and I missed some key milestones, like my grandmother birthday, which would turn out to be her last. To be fair I kind of didn't take care of myself, physically or mentally either. While I do not regret the previous 4 years (it was an amazing privilege granted to me by... the people of Calgary Shaw), it was hard to carve out time for the little thing. So as we finish the first week of social distancing and as I work from home I see things not as a set back but an opportunity to make up for lost time. I will connect with the family, play some board games, read a book, do some continuing ed courses, roll around, play with hot wheels, and catch up with some old friends.
