Please see letter that went home with each student on Friday April 9th. Ensure that the Covid19 screening is done on the return to school on Monday April 19th and the form is returned for students in JK to grade 3.

Friday December 11th is Picture Day. Please bring your smiles to school. This school year we will not be taking class photos only individual photos. Any questions please call the school office 519-238-2091.

Our school is blessed with a wonderful community. We shared the generosity today by distributing 25 gift cards that had been donated in the last few months. Each family at GBPS was entered in the draw. We want to display the same kindness that you show to us. Pay it forward.

On Friday we are having our first spirit day . Please wear some orange and black and get in the Halloween spirit. Looking forward to seeing all the colour combinations.

The Heywood Family and GreenBucks were very generous to our school! Their generous donations add to our technology fund. We have some new Chromebooks on order for the new year from our fund! Thank you for being such awesome supporters of our school!

Students will be bringing home registration verification form and the notification and permission for the use of student personal information ( appendix B) . If you are a new student to Grand Bend Public School you will be just receiving the registration verification form. Please make any necessary changes to the information sign and return to the school. We require all forms to be returned regardless if there is no changes. Remember to check off that you allow us to email you. If you have any questions with the forms please call the school office. Attention Laker Families and Community Members. Mrs. Parker our Music Teacher is looking for donations of buckets for drumming. We prefer 5 gallon buckets but would gladly accept other sizes. If you have a bucket to donate please send to the school with the student. Or you can call the school office at 519-238-2091 to arrange drop off or pick up curb side. Thank you

Good Morning Families: Just a reminder when calling the school for your child(ren) being away please leave details on the answering machine why they are away. Example: away ill with a fever etc. I am now tracking all illness. Also if your child is returning to school today after receiving a COVID19 test if you haven't let the office know the test results please call the school and leave me a message. Example child's first and last name and test result.. When leaving a mes...sage please assume that the person listening to the phone message may be a supply secretary. The Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) joins school boards across the province in commemorating Orange Shirt Day on September 30 to acknowledge and honour the survivors of residential schools, as well as the children and young people who never returned home. We encourage staff and students to wear an orange shirt on this day to promote learning and understanding about the residential school system and its impact on First Nations, Metis, and Inuit people in Canada. Or...ange Shirt Day is part of an ongoing conversation in the LKDSB about Indigenous Education to enhance understanding about Indigenous histories and perspectives. In support of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action as they relate to education, the LKDSB is committed to building capacity amongst its teachers and staff and supporting students in learning about Indigenous histories and perspectives in safe and caring learning environments.
