In every grey cloud there is a silver lining, our alumni are champions... In a sports season of never ending challenges, we met the final one. The Grand River Flying Squirrels are the 2020 Fergie Jenkins Showcase League 18U Champions after a tough fought double header sweep of the Ontario Rockies. The Rockies were the #1 team in their bubble, and the Flying Squirrels #1 in ours. We matched up for a best -of-three series to determine the 2020 Champions. I am so proud of the Flying Squirrels, the coaching staff and the families. This is a very good team, not an organization but a team. A team of winners, competitors and players.
