Here’s a really cool condo we did in the historic Kaufman Lofts building downtown Kitchener. . Located at the prominent intersection of King St. and Victoria St. the Kaufman building is a former industrial building that was once a factory producing rubber goods. The factory was established over 100 years ago in what was then called the city of Berlin. It is now considered a heritage building and has been repurposed into condos while maintaining the historical and architectur...al significance of the building. The building was presented the prestigious Provincial Outstanding Planning Award in recognition of excellence. . In the suites you will notice architectural features such as soaring 15’ ceilings, exposed mechanical & electrical work, and grand windows like they had in the original factory. . We searched for a hardwood flooring that would suit this unique building and came up with Mercier’s Hickory in the colour Fundy. With its burnished looking boards and the distinct hickory graining this flooring looks almost like it was the original factory floor. .
