SonRise students today made Gingerbread houses with individually packaged items to make it COVID safe. The base was made out Rice Krispy snacks instead of graham wafers. They had so much fun!

Oct 4-10 is Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW). It is an annual national public education campaign designed to help open the eyes of Canadians to the reality of mental illness. Grande Cache Community High School and Sonrise Christian Program is happy to be showing their support in bringing awareness to staff and students throughout this week. "We don't have to do it alone. Tomorrow is Orange Shirt Day - Every Child Matters! Don't forget to wear your orange shirt tomorrow to honour and recognize the 150,000+ Indigenous people across Canada whose lives were impacted by the residential school system.
REMINDER - Grande Cache Community High School is hosting a Virtual Post-Secondary Event on October 6th, from 6 PM to 8 PM. All grade 10, 11 and 12 families were sent an email last week. Attention parents: If your student attended our school last year, DO NOT complete a NEW Student Registration, you have to use the RETURNING Student Verification. Numerous emails with instructions have been emailed home, if you did not receive an email, contact the office. This also applies to Grade 9 students, they are considered a RETURNING student therefore need to complete a RETURNING student verification. If you have any questions, please call the school.
Attention all parents: All students must have their returning student verifications completed by Sept 30, 2020. If these forms are not completed by that date, students will lose access to our division technology until it is done.
