I'm having fun doing these quilted, free motion sewn, embroidered pieces to fit in old treadle sewing machine drawers
I like quilting under scrape metal. (I took welding at collage as an extra course and loved it). If you look long enough as a piece of metal , it will dictate what the finished piece will look like. I found cotton printed with landscape and added sky and water. The close up pic has overlayer of embroidery-french knots, sari silk -for bushes , etc.
Finally finished the goat collage. Thanks to Elizabeth King for her expert help. Started the goat over a year ago and gave up. Drew a new goat and used Stonehenge rust cotton and he came together quite fast.
Congratulations to our members Maxine and Sue. Both are in the Button Factory Arts Annual Members' Show. Take a peek! https://www.buttonfactoryarts.ca/membersshow
Congratulations to our member June, who's work, Interior Design, has been chosen to be part of the SAQA global exhibition "Microscapes" at the International Quilt Festival in Houston in October.
Ready for his 18th. Birthday next year. The lake was painted, then fabric added, and free motion stitched. My grandson was copied from a photo I took and collaged. I now have to work out how to get it in the frame.
