Please share ... help us spread the word. This change is indefinite at this point. We are doing so because of a lower demand on the Food Bank at this time. Th...is is not unique to Grand Manan. It is a noted trend in other NB Food Banks as well. Also we want to respect the time of our volunteers. There are many days when they open the FB and no one comes. This will help us not to spend volunteer hours where they are not currently needed.

Church is on for tomorrow. I am praying for God's presence and His help. My voice is weak and I am hoping for enough to get through the service. Jon gracious...ly offered to speak again but I feel strangely compelled to get up and trust God to take over. Please stay home if you are not well or if you are simply not at ease with meeting as a part of a group at this point. There is nothing amiss in exercising caution. Hi Folks ... On Friday, our beloved matriarch, Vera Green, turns 97 years young. We are wanting to give her a birthday car parade that will drive past her hou...se, honking, waving signs ... anything that you can imagine that would make her day a bit more special. We are meeting at the Community Life Church parking lot at 12:45pm. Any final directions will be given there. If it is a nice day, there will be cake available on the lawn outside of Vera's. If it is raining we will just do the car parade and there likely will be opportunity for you to drop a card for Vera. I am off island tomorrow but you are welcome to call 222-0410 if you need additional information. (Karl) Please feel free to share ... the more the merrier. Vera is not on Facebook and we really would like it to be a surprise. Sheila knows what is being planned and is excited about it.

I have laryngitis from my allergies today. I wanted to do a video devotional as per normal but I am way too croaky. So I whined to God about it. It went someth...ing like this Ok Lord, I didn’t sleep much last night. This allergy ordeal is getting old. I don’t know how I can do a video today. I need help and something worthwhile to say to our people at CLC Be still and know that I am God. Yes that’s a great verse. I’ll use that. But I really need a physical touch. My voice is gravelly and weak. Be still and know that I am God. Right that’s the verse I’ll speak on. I know the people will receive from it. You’re not listening Karl. Be still and know that I am God. No I got that Then do it. Do what? Forget your video. Be still and know that I am God. That’s for me? Yes. I can get my message to CLC. They need to hear my voice today, not so much yours. But how ? Be still that means shut up in Hebrew. It means shut up in any language. Don’t talk. Zip it. But Shhh!!! Know that I am God. This is my church Karl. You need to know more than anyone else that I am God. I can tell you forget it occasionally. I really don’t Like when you are discouraged because people aren’t flocking to hear you speak? Or right now when there are no services and you have been worrying about church finances. Or when you fret about the allergy thing I am really troubled by that Be still and know that I am God. I know the end from the beginning trust me you’ll be just fine. But I’m not sleeping. For right now find something in the lonely night hours that brings your heart and mind back to me. I’m awake too you know. We can talk. You can unload on me. I want to bear your heaviest burdens. I get anxious as the night approaches I haven’t forgotten you. I’ll never abandon you. I use everything that takes place in your life for your ultimate good and this brings me glory. Be still and know that I am God. It’s hard To stop trying to control things? Well No really. That’s the heart of most of your struggles Karl. You panic when you lose control. It’s human. I want to teach you another way. My way. It’s not your way. You can’t reason my way because your thoughts are not mine. So no video today? Nope. What about tomorrow? See what I mean? I’ll take care of tomorrow and I’ll take care of you if you let me. So do nothing? That’s not what I said. Be still and know that I am God. That’s totally different than doing nothing. I’ll try Do or do not. There is no try. Is that in the Bible? No that’s Yoda from Star Wars.

This is a far cry from gathering. I for one am missing that immensely. I also believe that our distancing is necessary for the time being. Please remember to... pray for one another ... stay in contact as much as you are able and make God your Strength and Hope in these confusing times.
