The rink is looking great. Fresh ice for tomorrow. Everyone is welcome. Thanks Todd Rob Chip Craig. Our hand pull Zamboni works great.
We are getting serious about flooding our rink so it will be ready for the holidays. More lights coming for evening enjoyment. Great community project. Thanks Todd Rob Chip and Craig. Bring on winter.
The Dads are in the park getting the rink ready for skating. Hopefully by next weekend if we are lucky. Remember no more that 10 people and even then social distancing. Play safe.
There have been some great sunset over Grand Trunk Park recently...great to see everyone out using the park and enjoying our warm weather....Happy Halloween Trunkers....
Great to see so many people today enjoying the playground again. Nice to see playground friends again. I was asked if by a Mom can I rent you as a grandfather for my kids. Of course I said yes.
Everybody loves hanging out at Grand Trunk Park. It is amazing all the people who are in the park working out these days. It is like an outdoor gym. Hope this continues even when the gyms reopen. How long can you hang?
You know Spring is here when the Larch trees turn green and the kids start climbing them. Looks like another great day in the ‘hood.
I have seen a lot of things happened in Grand Trunk Park over the past 25+ years, but today was the first time I have seen a fly fisherman practicing casting. Love all the different people and activities in the park these days.
The park was animated at Happy Hour this afternoon. Nice to see lots of families out using the park for various activities. The toys are gone and playground closed but hopefully it will be back in action soon.
While our playground is closed the playing field and basketball court got great use this weekend. The park has also become a popular off leach dog park, which technically it shouldn't be as dogs aren't allowed near playgrounds (even if closed) or on playing fields. I have checked he park several times only once did I find a dog dodo and I don't see lots of yellow marks that you do at a typical dog park. Not sure how others feel about dogs in the park, it might become more of an issue once the snow is gone and the playing field gets even more use. Love to hear what others think!
