Today, we would like to remember Kawahara Sensei, the former technical director of the Canadian Aikido Federation, who passed away on June 2, 2011. He came to C...anada in 1975. He was instrumental to the establishment of the Canadian Aikido Federation, and many members of the CAF Examination Committee were close students of him. Our present technical director, Osawa Sensei, was appointed by him. We're grateful for the immense contributions he made to aikido in Canada and how he influenced and inspired so many of his students from Victoria on the west coast, all the way to St. John's on the east coast.
