Hot Shots Skills Fundraiser! Saturday, April 3, 2021 The Granite Curling Club is pleased to invite curlers to a curling skills fundraiser. This fundraiser conforms to MB Health’s most recent COVID orders. Should restrictions change we will update all curlers immediately. Curl Canada return to play protocols are in effect.... We are looking for curlers with an itch to get back on the ice prior to the summer. Hot Shots sessions are open to curlers of all skill levels and include these shots: Hit and stay, draw the port, raise, hit and roll, draw the button and double take-out. Three sessions are currently scheduled on Saturday, April 3 at 12:30 p.m., 1:15 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. We are limiting two curlers per sheet of ice, with all nine sheets in play. More time slots will be added if necessary. Entry to the fundraiser is $50 per curler. For non-Granite members 50% of the entry fee will go to the participant’s Winnipeg Curling Club Association (WCCA) home club. Granite members have the option of donating their refundable 2020-21 curling dues to the club in lieu of the entry fee. Book your timeslot by emailing the Granite at [email protected]

Dear Granite Curling Club Members, Due to the Provincial Health Official’s announcement on October 30 stating that the metropolitan area of Winnipeg will be moved into the red or critical zone due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we will be required to stop the operations of our club and lounge beginning Monday, November 2. All games scheduled between November 2-16 will now be cancelled. Several leagues that were scheduled to curl on October 31 and November 1 have decided to cancel ...games with full support from the board. As of right now the ice will remain in, with the hopes of being able to resume league play once the Provincial Health Official’s advise that we can safely do so. When we re-open we will make every effort to complete the expected game schedule, including using the month of May if necessary. We thank you for your patience, support and understanding as we navigate these unprecedented times. The health and safety of our members and staff will continue to be our #1 priority and we will do our best to provide timely updates as required. Stay safe, Granite Curling Club Executive and Board
