Father, today we pray for courage for our Grant Kids. Courage to do your will and face any challenges to place in their lives.

The followers of Jesus weren’t deflated anymore. Barnabas had filled them with encouragement. He had built them up by giving and helping. In fact, Barnabas had done exactly what the Bible tells us to do - 1 Thessalonians 5:11a. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up. 1 Thessalonians 5:11a (NIV) That verse isn’t just for Barnabasit’s for all of us! God wants every single one us to encourage and build each other up. If we see someone in need, we can give to them. If we see someone who’s having trouble, we can help them. If we see someone who’s feeling down, we can encourage them.

How often do we see someone say or do something incredible, but not say something to them about it? We think to ourselves, Wowshe’s got serious skills or What a great answer, I love how he thinks, but it stops therewe never say anything to them. Imagine the impact it would have on the world around you if you ALWAYS gave voice to those positive thoughts. Simply put, if you see someone do something that warrants praise, say something to them. Don’t just make a mental note of it, don’t just ignore it, and don’t just think they already know about it. Those 10 seconds of encouragement probably mean more to that person than you could ever imagine! Today our Grant Kids will be learning about Barnabus - The Son of Encouragement! Be sure to watch our Weekly Lesson Online!

When Mary and her friends looked inside of the tomb, it was empty! They were afraid, but so happy at the same time. They couldn’t wait to share the good news with Jesus’ disciples, so they ran as fast as they could to tell them about what they had seen. As they were running, though, something happened that they never expected. Suddenly, Jesus appeared right in front of them. Hello! he said. The women stopped dead in their tracks with mouths hanging open. They couldn’t believe it. The last time they had seen Jesus, He was dead. And now, three days later, He was alive again and talking to them. They went to Him, fell to the ground at His feet and worshipped Him. The angel of God was rightJesus IS alive!

When we sin, we cut ourselves off from the God who gave us life, making death inevitable. We can’t hope to be released from death until we’ve first been released from sin. Enter Jesus. Jesus offers to trade places with us. He lived the life we were supposed to live. He died the death that we deserved to die. Then He was raised again and is alive today. When we take Him up on His offer, we get to enjoy the new life that flows out of a reconciled relationship with Him. If we re...main as we are, separated from Him by our sin, there is nothing that will save us. The only escape from death is the One who is, Himself, the way, the truth, and the life. Today our Grant Kids will be learning just this! The only escape from death is the One who is, Himself, the way, the truth, and the life. Be sure to check out our GK Lesson online!

God's Word has gotten me through some very tough times. Today we pray that our Grant Kids know the power of God's Word! That they lean into it in good & bad times. That they hear God's voice through their time in the Word.

Today the kids will be learning how Jesus calmed the storm. The story of Jesus calming the stormy sea is perhaps one of the most well-known miracles in the Bible. Despite that fact, or maybe because of it, it’s easy to overlook one of the most obvious elements of the story. Be sure to tune in & hear all the details of the miracle! Be sure to watch our video lesson online!

All scripture is God breathed - not just once by those who wrote but supernaturally through all time! God uses his word to teach, rebuke, correct and trains us in righteousness. Dive in!

In Sunday’s lesson, everybody was looking down on Zacchaeus, not only because he was short, but because he was a sinner. Not Jesus, though. He did the opposite. The opposite of looking down on someone is building them up. You must love one another, just as I have loved you. John 13:34 (NIrV)

The story of the Zacchaeus in Luke 19 shows Jesus loving someone that society both literally and figuratively looked down on. As I read through the story of Zacchaeus, I think about what that might be like for usto love people regardless of who they are or what they do. Today our Grant Kids will learn just this! They will meet Zacchaeus and see that Jesus loves all of his children just the same! Be sure to watch our video lesson online!
