Sunny wants in the photo too.
One of our azur blue pullets.
Congratulations to one of our employees- Reuben Munro on getting his class 1 truck license today!
We still have some ready to lay Azur Blues available in the next couple of weeks. For information on cost and how you can get some, send me a message!
When Cecily takes your camera- you never know what kind of photo you will get!
Girls don't seem too ambitious to get up and say hi this morning.
STOP! Not just anyone can enter our barns- a strict biosecurity is in effect to ensure the health of the birds. People who do visit sign in and wear clean coveralls, boots, etc to limit risk.
Giving the girls some more silage.
This is Nora, not to be confused with @norafullerton . She is half belted Galloway half herferd. She considers herself the boss of the heifer pasture, but she looks tougher than she actually is.
Leave the door open for a moment and theh all want to see whay is going on.
Hanging out with the heifers.
2nd corn pile coming along.
MIS'REY, when I took this yesterday morning little did I know she would have me up at 3am this morning because she pulled the teat cup off the milk line from stepping on it.
Today is Atlantic Open Farm Day, you can watch all the kiddos at least make a momentary appearance sharing parts of our farm with you. Starts with the dairybarn tour Cecily dod a bit ago, goes on to the heifer barn, feed mill, egg packer, layer breeders, eggs, and the the pullet barn! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6AcYqx4Fbwo&t=7s
She let me have 1 photo- when your children want themes with cow names, you look up types of oranges as the obvious ones were taken. Meet Mandarin, daughter to Clementine, we already have an Orange and a Tangerine.
This reminds me of my children- when all I want to do is take a photo, and they will look anywhere but at me.
They are so cute when they are little.
A couple years ago my niece Grace named Cecily's 4H heifer Girly when it was born on her birthday. This year Cecily named Girly's first calf Grace, though I don't think she told Grace yet.
