If I never aerated the lawn, there would be more mud tracks indicating standing water. Luckily those are just natural low spots. Aeration is key to healthy lawn!

3 weeks, 4days and eight hours that I have patiently waited and checked everyday, including today before it was finally dry enough to mow. I had overseeded and fertilized before the spring snow hit, followed by a monsoon worth of rain. Patience is key when overseeding as you don’t want to suck up fresh grass seed by mowing too soon. Keep it damp everyday and it should have a better chance of survival.

Well... almost all the required yard maintenance is completed. One day the rain will stop and we’ll be able to mow again.

As you can see, the perennial ryegrass is the wider blades in grass seed. When you can start seeing these blades standing out, is about the time to mulch your grass. The grass should be cut no further than 1/3 of the way. If your mower deck is at the 2.5-3 mark, then this is the time to mulch. Any later and you’ll need to bag or rake it.
