Some good information.
As grade 7 to 12 go to at home learning on December 1 it is important to know that your child can still see the Wellness Mentors in person by appointment. Please call your child's school and ask for the Wellness Mentor your child is seeing to set up an appointment. If your child has not been seeing a Wellness Mentor but you feel like they should, please reach out for an appointment. Wellness Mentors will also be sending out Wellness information to parents and students during this time. We are here for you!!!

Not a lot of people know this, but the feeling of happiness is the result of actions using a variety of skillsets. If you find that you want to experience more happiness you can learn skills that can help you feel positive feelings, not just happiness, but confidence, joy, contentment, and more. Here are some happiness hacks to get you started.

Self talk is when you speak to yourself, either out loud or internally. Please be kind to yourself, your brain believes what it hears, so tell it kind things like: You are important, you are loved, you are capable, you matter, you can do it!

Welcome to Week Seven of summer programming! This week's theme is Anxiety & Mindfulness. We are so excited for another week of crafts, gratitude yoga and of course, goofy dancing!
We are all doing our best. Don't be too hard on yourself. If you are stuck and struggling with a child. Try thinking about 3-5 things they do that make you smile, or that you like about them. Sometimes, thinking of the good is all it takes to reset during a struggle.
Today is going to be a warm one! Come join us at Kinbrook Island day use area. We have games, popsicles and positive thoughts!! Can't wait to see you there.
Our kids, the neighbourhood kids, the strangers kids in public, they are always observing and learning. Please make sure you are showing them a kind, accepting, and caring person. Its ok for them to see your flaws and mistakes, but also show them your efforts to grow and make amends as well.
Summer Programming has been a BLAST and we cannot wait for all the fun events yet to come in August!
