The birth of Grassroots started on a bench at @myccnm in 2003. . 2. Clinic founders, Dr. Mary Knudsen and Dr. Beverly Huang have known each other since 2000. . 3. The name, Grassroots, was born while walking down Bloor Street in downtown Toronto in 2003. . 4. The name, Grassroots, came up from an engineering course Dr. Beverly took at @uwaterloolife in 1997 (ManSci211!) ... a grassroots organization; working from the bottom up, healing from the inside out. . 5. The clinic logo is an infamous mathematical equation called the #Fibonacci Spiral. 6. The original clinic space was designed, built by friends and family of Beverly and Mary. . 7. In 2010, Grassroots expanded to our current space, doubling our treatment rooms and growing our team with the most amazing people. . 8. Mary and Bev buried a time capsule in the concrete in our clinic space in 2004, blessing our space with our spiritual guides. (Psst. It’s in our kitchen!) . 9. We have had a total of 18 practitioners work at our clinic over 16 years - some of the most amazing people we have crossed our paths with. . 10. Over the years, we have had NINE of our front desk staff graduate from our clinic and become naturopathic doctors themselves! . 11. The entire clinic space was painted by Beverly and Mary themselves. . 12. Beverly and Mary were just 26 and 28 years old when they opened Grassroots. The original #BOSSBABES! . 13.
