Older pets, small breed dogs and flat faced cats, like Persians, are especially at risk for dental disease. Signs that your pet may be experiencing dental disease are: bad breath, a change in chewing habits, bleeding gums, yellow or brown crust on teeth and tooth loss. If you are noticing any of these signs with your pet, contact us today to book an appointment for a dental checkup.

Happy Veterinary Receptionist week to our AMAZING front end staff that work tirelessly to answer your calls, fill your prescriptions and do their best to get you into the clinic as soon as possible! Curbside service has been the hardest on them, and they put on their smile every day and do it all over again. They are ROCKSTARS!... If you get a chance today, thank them for all they do!

With spring seeming to have sprung a little earlier than we’re used to this year, are you and your pet ready for ticks? If not, talk to us today about the best prevention for your pet! Remember they are prescribed medications, so if we haven't seen them within the past year we'll need to book an appointment to get them covered!

Hi friends! We are looking to rehome Jasmine. She is: - 6 years old - spayed... - fully vaccinated - dewormed - indoor/outdoor She is a lovely, cuddly, laid back cat. She would be best in a home with minimal other pets, as she can be sensitive to stress -- with changes in her current household, it's in her best interest to be in a less stressful environment. If you think Jasmine might be a good fit for your home, please message for more information! See more

*home pending* This is Mango! He is almost 4 years old, male, neutered and fully vaccinated. He loves to be outside, gets along with other pets and is a rambunctious boy. ... He does have an upper respiratory virus that occasionally flares up in the form of watery eyes and sneezing. Currently managed with a $20 supplement that lasts 3 months per bottle. It's his favorite morning treat! P.S. He LOVES chips! Please message if you think you'd like to add Mango to your family!

Thank you to all who have called to ask if we will be hosting our vaccine clinics this spring. Unfortunately, due to the uncertainty regarding gathering guidelines and the amount of time it takes to prepare for the clinics, it looks like we will not be able to host the spring clinics this year (2021). We sure miss getting together with you and your pets in the fresh air (sometimes a little too fresh ) and look forward to spring 2022 when we should be able to get back to a more normal pattern once again! If your pets will be due for vaccines or heartworm/Lyme screens this spring, or you need to get your flea/tick/heartworm prevention please give us a call at 204-433-7956 (St Pierre) or 204-425-3264 (Vita). Call soon to reserve your preferred dates as spots are currently filling up fast!

MISSING!! From Woodmore area! Update (April 25): Still no luck with neighbours seeing him which makes us think it’s more likely that someone driving by picked h...im up. Regardless of where you live, please share. We need our Tiggy home!! REWARD FOR ANY INFORMATION THAT LEADS US TO HIM!!! So Tig (yellow lab) saw an opportunity and took it when I let him out to pee. He went missing around noon on April 12. I followed his tracks but no luck. A neighbor spotted him going south past the 7 mile on road 25E. With all the snow I’m not sure if someone driving by picked him up or if he’s hiding in a shed somewhere. Please keep an eye out!

Although some may think that Fluffy adding on some pounds is cute, obesity is a major issue in pet health. This can shorten your furry partner's life, cause joint issues, and lead to other health problems. If you or your vet think Fluffy needs a diet, come talk with us about potential food's that taste good, make Fluffy feel full, and keep everyone healthy & happy!

These little guys are ear mites and can cause your cats (and sometimes dogs) ears to become extremely itchy! They do require a prescription strength medication to get rid of them so if you suspect your animal to have them, or if they've been in contact, give us a call so they can be checked out!
