The swans have settled in and Annie Lake is starting to open up.

There is something about our family of swans returning to Annie Lake for the 6th year now that is hopeful. Spring is here and seeing the young ones grow to full size is a Yukon wilderness treasure.

Happy Easter weekend everyone. Hope you’re all enjoying this fantastic weather. Get your ski and ice fishing on! With this warmth, the lake ice will go fast.

The lodge is in transition for the season. Lot’s of changes and the birds, bears and many plants are on the return. Oh and this little avalanche I heard rumbling across the lake!

Ice fishing out on Annie Lake, no luck this trip but much fun was had. We know they are down there. With spring will come the Grayling though!

This winter has brought its challenges, lots of love, fun and beauty at the lodge. After this cold snap, we are happy to see temperatures rising so we can spend even more time outdoors. We also welcome our new bear dog Luna. Oh, and the return of the sun certainly is keeping us in good energy from the us to the house. Have a fabulous Valentines weekend!
