The Line Cook is directly responsible for ensuring that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurants recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards in addition to complying with sanitary regulations and safety standards. Handle, store and rotate all products properly. Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment in accordance with sanitary regulations and safety standards. Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed. Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assist others in closing the kitchen. Assist with dishwashing duties as required. Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurants preventative maintenance programs. Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points. Answer, report and follow instructions. Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement. Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers. Qualifications: Certification in Culinary preferred. Proven experience in a similar capacity required. Food Handlers certificate required. It has been over a month since we closed the doors of the restaurant due to COVID-19. We made the decision to temporarily shut down all our operations so that we could keep our family, employees, and community safe and to do our part to stop the spread. This devastating pandemic has touched the lives of everyone in this community in some way and for many of us, our lives will never be the same again. Over the past month, we have seen a community pull together like no other. S...elfless healthcare workers putting their own lives on hold to put others first, tenacious grocery store workers keeping our shelves stocked, kind volunteers offering to pick up groceries for those that cant, generous contributors to the Bobcaygeon Relief Fund, and the many people staying at home so that we can all stay safe. For this, we are truly thankful and proud to be a part of this community! While we wait for the curve to flatten, we are busy planning a safe and gradual reopening.
