Coming this Mothers Day in collaboration with Friends of Muskoka Midwives a one hour virtual 'refill your cup' for Mom's!

POTTY TRAINING, our top tips Cues that your child is ready includes ability to pull down pants/remove diaper, mimicking bathroom noises, and showing control (waking up dry from naps). When introducing cotton underwear, put a pull overtop for a while to save messy accidents.... Be positive, patient and consistent in your routine don't start potty training during other big life events (new sibling coming, weaning, teething, moving etc) YOU must be ready too, it is almost more important that you are prepared. You will be cleaning up the messes + setting routines. Each Thursday at 1pm Great Beginnings West Parry Sound members virtually gather to chat about different topics and offer peer support amongst one other. Also joining is our team of a social worker, public health nurse, doula and infant + child development specialists for even more support. Like what you see? Are you interested in joining our program? TRUSTING OTHER'S WITH YOUR CHILDREN, our top tips Set up check in calls, often times they warm up quickly 'that was a moment, they are okay now'. Or photo updates during the day. Set boundaries and preferences realize what things you can accept small changes in and what is a solid boundary (ie. some sugar is okay but absolutely no transportation/driving with them)... Your child interacting and experiencing other people is a good life lesson/experience. Your child knowing people outside of their immediate family value and love them is important.
