The builder grade deck on this house was not fulfilling the needs of our client. On this project we added a 600 sq foot addition complete with updated skirting, stairs, and railing. Another Employee introduction Happy Thursday! The weekend is almost upon us. When our company is busy the work doesnt always stop at Friday. Behind all great installers there is always paperwork to attend to behind the scenes. Meet Colin, our office manager. Colin doesnt always get to indulge in the glory of the front lines, but he is an integral part of our day to day operations. He takes care of ordering product, coordinating projects and keeping the paperwork flowing (which he has had a lot of as of late). Colin previously worked in the oil and gas sector for over 30 years before his tenure. In his off time he enjoys relaxing at his vacation property and spending time with his wife Patti. You will not meet a bigger Oilers or EE fan. Live sports is his thing. His favourite tool is his computer (we assume).

Located just outside of Calgary this was a ton of family fun. The kids had a blast. They have many different play structures and its all learning based play! Another day means another valuable member of our team. Meet our framing extraordinaire Lee. Lee is another one of our ticketed red seal carpenters, who excels in all things structural. He has framed houses since his inception into carpentry and is a great asset to our many decking projects. His favourite tool is understandably a nail gun and in his spare time he enjoys turning wrenches on his various drift and race car projects. Happy Monday everyone! We would like to introduce you to another one of our employees, This is Ben. Ben has been a red seal journeyman for 2 years now. Dont let his polite respectful nature fool you. He takes no prisoners when it comes to his work. He has extensive knowledge with framing in open and net zero applications. He is very precise with his finishing work and also enjoys building custom decks. His favourite tool is his calculator and trig app. On his days off he enjoys Cooking, riding bikes and watching ghibli films. Thanks for reading about another one of our carpenters!

Another Day Another Employee, Meet Jeff. We are so happy to have him! He has really shown us what he can do with his positive attitude. He has been a red seal carpenter for 14 years! His favourite tool is the track saw. His specialty is finishing work or something he can put his creative touch on. You can find Jeff behind the camera on his days off. His pictures are beautiful and focus on nature and our beautiful city. He loves to take his dog for walks or take himself on adventures on his motorcycle. Another day another Employee we would like to introduce you to! This is Rene! Also know as Papa RiRi. Rene has been with Great 8 Construction for 4 years! Rene came to us after running the production division of a job site trailer manufacturer for 30 years. His leadership abilities and passion for seeing a project through makes him an in-disposable asset. When he is not at work you will most likely find him at his lake lot or spending time with his wife and three sons. He enjoys challenging projects that involve out of the box thinking, such as tying in roof structures or building custom mill work. His favourite tools are his laser level and string lines so that everything can stay straight. Look out for one of our Great 8 trucks on the road, Rene is driving one of them. Another Day another Employee! Today we are featuring our amazing man T! His name is Taylor but everyone calls him Little T. He has been with us for 5 years! He started off being our Carpenters helper/ Labourer. He Helps our crew immensely everyday. His dedication to the job is like no other. He will be going to Nait in the Fall to start his journey to get his carpentry ticket. On his days off he enjoys Riding his bike, seeing friends and meeting new people. He really is the Most positive caring person on our crew! His favourite tool is the Sawzall. His favourite thing to work on his everything He loves seeing a project take shape from the first day to the final day. Thanks for reading about our employees.

We are going to do a little meet and greet of our amazing staff members of Great 8! First up is Connor, he is actually Great 8s first ever employee. He has been with us since the beginning!
