BARRIE AND DISTRICT ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS (BDAR) RELEASE JUNE 2019 STATISTICS Simcoe County 495 residential units were sold in Simcoe County last month, which was 0.6% less than the same time last year.... Additionally, the average price of residential units sold was $511,008. This average price was 2.6% greater than that of June 2018 City of Barrie 232 units were sold during June 2019 within the City of Barrie. This was 11.8% less than the number of units sold in Barrie during June 2018. The average price for units sold during June 2019 within Barrie was $493.997 4.1% greater than the average price during June 2018. This growth was greater than the average-price growth of total Simcoe County (+2.6%). Residential property sales in Barrie accounted for 46.9% of residential sales in Simcoe County last month. This was 6.6 share points less than the same time last year. Simcoe County Excluding Barrie 263 units were sold outside of Barrie during June 2019, and this was 14.8% more units sold than during June 2018. This growth in number of units was greater than the number of units sold in the total Simcoe region (0.6%). The average price of units sold in Simcoe County Excluding Barrie was $527,658 in the month of June. This was a 2.7% increase in the average price as compared to the same time last year. This growth in average price was slightly greater than that of the total Simcoe County Region (+2.6). Residential property sales outside of Barrie accounted for 53.1% of sales in Simcoe County last month. This was 6.6 share points greater than the same time last year. City of Barrie Within the City of Barrie, the number of units sold grew 12.1% from March 2018. This was in line with the growth in total Simcoe County (+10.7%). A total of 195 units were sold within Barrie during this time The average price of the units sold in Barrie last month was $ $494,488. This average price was similar to last year, with a 2.38% growth. This growth was less than what the total Simcoe region saw (+4.4%). Residential sales in Barrie accounted for 48.1% of the units sold in Simcoe County this month. There was a 0.6 share point change from what was seen in March 2018. Simcoe County Excluding Barrie In the areas of Simcoe County excluding Barrie, there were a total of 210 units sold during March 2019. This was a 9.4% growth from the same time last year. This growth was slightly greater than the total growth in Simcoe County (+10.7%). The average price of units sold outside of Barrie was $558,396 last month, and this was 13.2% greater than the average price in March 2018. This growth was greater than the growth in total Simcoe region (+4.4%). Residential property sales in Simcoe County excluding Barrie accounted for 51.9% of all residential property sales in Simcoe County last month. A total of 277 units were sold in... February. However, the average price of units sold remained stagnant at approximately +1.3%, with the average price of units sold at $507,706. City of Barrie Within the City of Barrie, the number of units sold declined 24.6% from February 2018. This contrasts the steady growth in total Simcoe County (+6.9%). A total of 107 units were sold within Barrie during February 2019. The average price of the units sold in Barrie last month was $475,832. This average price is approximately the same as last year, with only approximately 2.9% growth. This growth is greater than the total Simcoe region (+1.3%). Residential sales in Barrie accounted for 38.6% of the units sold in Simcoe County. This is 16.2 share points less than what Barrie accounted for in February 2018. Simcoe County Excluding Barrie In the areas of Simcoe County excluding Barrie, there were a total of 170 units sold during February 2019. This is a 45.3% growth from the same time last year. This growth is much greater than the total growth in Simcoe County (+6.9%). The average price of units sold outside of Barrie was $528,327 last month, and this is 0.2% greater than the average price in February 2018. This growth is along the same lines as the stagnant growth of the total Simcoe region (+0.2%). BARRIE AND DISTRICT ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS (BDAR) RELEASE JANUARY 2019 STATISTICS Simcoe County The number of units sold in Simcoe County increased 7.4% in January this year as compared to January 2018.... A total of 231 units were sold. However, the average price of residential units sold declined by 1.5% during this time frame, with the average price of units sold approximately $485,328. City of Barrie Within the City of Barrie 103 units were sold in the month of January 2019. This is an 8.8% decline from the number of units sold in January 2018. This decline contrasts the growth in the total Simcoe region (+7.4%). The City of Barrie in January 2019 had an average price of $452,518 for the units sold. This is 6.8% less than the average price one year before. This decline is also greater than the decline seen in the total Simcoe region (-1.5%). Residential sales in Barrie accounted for 44.6% of sales in the Simcoe region in January. Compared to 2018, this is an 8.0 share point decline. Simcoe County Excluding Barrie Outside of Barrie, the number of units sold increased 25.5% from last year to 128 units sold. This is significantly greater than the year-over-year growth in the total Simcoe Region (+7.4%). The average price outside of Barrie declined 0.8% last month as compared to January 2018. The average price of units sold outside of Barrie was $493,449. This decline is approximately 0.8% and almost the same as the decline seen in the total Simcoe region (-1.5%). Residential sales in Simcoe excluding Barrie accounted for 55.4% of residential sales in Simcoe County last month. This is 8.0% share points more than the same time last year.
