Valued CPA members, Hope everyone is staying safe and happy in these strange and difficult times. Recently, we received some good news from the Ontario government allowing restaurants/bars to open indoors with restrictions.... Although these are certainly positive steps, there are still more hurdles to overcome. Some CPA areas are starting to resume regular league play by following the government and location mandates that are in place. The C13/C16 CPA leagues differ from other areas because of the size the areas span, distance between divisions, as well as the amount of locations involved. At this moment, the C13/C16 area is not ready to resume league play yet. We hope to get started soon and will keep everyone updated on the progress of the league. Update on Vegas Events.

APA Las Vegas events UPDATE: Attached below is the new dates for the event in Las Vegas. I understand a lot of people will probably have mixed feelings about these dates. Maybe wonder why the APA is even putting dates out with everything still up in the air? I would like to remind everyone that these dates are still not set in stone because no one really knows what lies around the corner. I do think that the APA is working hard to show it’s members that they are doing everyth...ing they can to work around the current world issues and insure everyone that everything will not be lost and there are brighter days ahead. I can assure everyone that the APA will not run tournaments and put anybody’s health at risk or in jeopardy by doing so. They also understand there could also be issues with travel not only from Canada to the States but also from State to State. Regionals Update: The 2019 8 Ball World Pool Qualifier (Regionals) scheduled for May 22, 23, 24 at the Walkerton Arena has now been officially postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak and the restrictions associated with it. That being saidWe have been in contact with Arena staff as well as the pool table supplier and we are working on alternative dates that would work for all parties. I am hopeful we have time to organize and run the Regional tournament as per usual, but if we ...cannot, I do have contingency plans in place if we need to go that route. The 9-Ball Regionals scheduled for June 6-7 in Midland is also postponed. Unfortunately, we do not have any other details to share about the event at this time other than it will be postponed.
