THANKS TOWN of VIEW ROYAL! We appreciate the funding you provide for paid adult crossing guards at View Royal and Eagle View Elementary schools. Partnering to keep kids safe on the roadways is important to us.
THREE YEARS! We have been working with Saanich to understand where they see the need for paid adult crossing guards. They have given us the list of intersections and we have permission to access municipal funding for those intersections. We also have permission to supervise other intersections if we have another source of funding. At this time we are working to fill the municipally funded intersections. If you are interested in a position with us let us know. [email protected]. THANKS SAANICH.
We have entered our third year! Over the time we have worked to ensure funding is stable and that the service we provide is where it needs to be. At this time we know we still have work to do but appreciate the willingness of our customer, the municipalities, to do this work with us. Once again we have receive Grant funding from the City of Victoria to fully fund the identified intersections, we have some vacancy in this regard so if you are interested in becoming a crossing guard please message us or send an email to [email protected]. City of Victoria has been great in their funding to much of them time. We just needed to communicate our need in a way they could fit it into their budget structure. THANKS VICTORIA!
One day our little society/association will have a website but for now this is our social media presence. We continue to appreciate the support of our municipal governments for funding our work in complex intersection crosswalks. Victoria was great in passing a motion to fully fund the locations that had been identified years ago and has been working with us to update the list as well as seek our a better funding model. View Royal is supporting the locations in their munic...ipality and on the border as well, Saanich has been working with us to update the list of intersections and has made some changes while we continue to review the needs in their municipality, Oak Bay is happy with the service we provide an funds that service. We are also fortunate to have a community partner in The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority fully funding one crossing guard and Macauley PAC combines their Esquimalt Municipal grant with community partner support to pay for their three crossing guards in a very busy part of town. A BIG THANK YOU to all of our municipal and community supporters. If anyone wants to know how they can be a part of this effort drop us a line. See more
