The GDSO 2021 T&F (virtual) season has begun! Although this has been created by and for the T&F team, we encourage all GDSO athletes to check them out and even do them so that we're all in the best shape possible for when we can resume our in-person practices and competitions.

GDSO Athlete Curtis Cook is a recipient of the City of Pickering’s 2019 Civic ‘Amateur Sports’ Award! Congratulations Curtis! A special posthumous ‘Lifetime Achievement’ Award was given to Luke Feetham’s family, in recognition of his many, many years of volunteering in his community. What a legacy he left with us!

Greetings all ... our good friends that are members of the Whitby St. John the Evangelist 'Knights of Columbus' are doing a fundraiser for us this weekend! They will be collecting cash and empty bottle donations on both Saturday and Sunday. 6 PM on Saturday/OCT. 24th ... 10 am and Noon on Sunday/OCT. 25th Donations will be accepted in front of the Parish Centre (the south end of the parking lot) AT 903 Giffard St. in Whitby. Although our GDSO sports programs run independently from the SOO school programs in our community, we know that many of our athletes got their first exposure to Special Olympics there. Some of our high school age athletes still participate in school sports programs, and have attended past Provincial School Championships!
