Greater Sudbury Property Management inc. is looking for a reliable contractor to help renovate and maintain apartments. We are looking for someone with experience that can meet deadlines. The Position: Our Drywaller /Labourer is responsible for keeping the property in good repair and with a pleasant curb appeal. The General labourer reports back to the maintenance coordinator and must take pride in ensuring properties show good workmanship and respect for our residents.... This position requires a hands-on team player that is self-motivated. To be successful in this role, you must be handy and have a comfort level with general home maintenance and coordination of service people. As a key person in our company, you must possess excellent people skills which will be utilized every day. Maintenance Duties: - Project coordination/performance of minor renovations, painting, repairs, routine maintenance, and inspections - Collaborate with the Maintenace Coordinator to determine priorities and work deadlines - Arrange for quotes, oversee subcontract labour; liaise with contractors and residents to arrange minor work or repair. - Perform minor repairs on heating, appliances, walls, and flooring where skill is relevant. - Inspect grounds, facilities, and appliances routinely to determine the necessity of repairs or maintenance - Basic yard clean-up to keep properties presentable; garbage, sweeping, etc. - Handle inquiries, and requests from office staff and trades-persons in a timely and professional manner - Establish and maintain excellent relationships with residents, contractors, and support staff Required Skills: Bright, reliable, self-motivated, and proactive Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and respond to deadlines Excellent people skills, dependable and flexible Excel at working independently Problem solver who takes the initiative and makes sound and logical decisions. Proven ability to respond and express ideas in clear oral and written communication Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license Please Note: This job description is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skillset, or working conditions associated with this position. The ideal candidate must be able to work with a team or work independently and report back to Maintnenance Coordinate. Being tech savvy Would be a plus. Must have a vehicle, cell phone and own tools.
