OPEN INVITATION TO A PLANNING SESSION FOR A WATER GATHERING WITH THE CREDIT RIVER We are excited and honored to let you know about a gathering with and for the... water this summer. It will take place at Erindale Park, in Mississauga, July 12-14, 2019. We invite you to come and meet, discuss and hold ceremony together for the waters for future generations. We will hold water ceremony, share water teachings and offer traditional healing. All peoples willing to respect the protocols are invited. Confirmed speakers are: Autumn Peltier (Wikiwemikong FN) Doug Sincloair and Katherine Jack (Onigaming FN) Hohepa Hei (Maori) Cheryl Littletent (Saskatchewa) Abraham Bearskin (Cree Nation of Chisasabi, QC) There are many ways to support this event: through offering to help with food, logistics, garbage, youth activities, sharing rides, and sharing camping equipment. We are grateful for the volunteers who have come forward to support this event. We are organizing a day for volunteers to meet with the organizers, and the volunteer coordinators, on MAY 11th, at Kinomaagaye Gaamik Lodge, 674 New Credit Rd. at New Credit. This day will begin at 10. We will have a BBQ for attendees. If you wish to attend, or help in any way, or are interested in more information, please contact: [email protected] Updates are also available on the Facebook event page: Water Gathering with the Credit River: https://www.facebook.com/events/399296264166154/ Miigwetch!
