We are incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of Saul Korman, one of our long time members and owner of @korrystoronto. Saul was incredibly active in promoting the neighbourhood - GreekTown and the Danforth - and in philanthropic activities in support of our community members. Ancient Greek pottery, due to its durability, comprises a large part of the archaeological record of ancient Greece. The subject matter of the paintings have a large influence on our understanding of Greek society and daily life. We love how Ghazaleh Rastgar (aka Ghazaraza) has thrown this idea into the 21st century with her colourful depictions on GreekTown’s traffic boxes. Having a Greek coffee and checking your smartphone are definitely on brand for 2021!
