Green Beginnings

The winds are changing.. If asked a couple of years ago where I pictured our family I surely would have answered here in the city. That seems like so long ago these days. We have moved our family to the country and plan to make changes in the way we stroll through life. I want to say that I made a difference, that our family made a difference. So we welcome you to our blog about just that.our journey into living a sustainable life.

Our News by admin on September 19, 2012[edit] ... Yes you heard the news right. I am closing Green Beginnings for a few seasons. These past five years have been such a great journey! We have met so many beautiful families and have formed lasting friendships over the years. I have received so much joy taking part of your children’s beginnings. We started this journey with one of our own and now are the proud parents of three beautiful children. Our focus for the childcare was giving our children and yours a healthy beginning. We have decided to teach our children a little more about sustainable living. So here we are out of the city looking at the mountains and tilling our soon to be large garden. We are excited to start this next chapter in our life and invite you to follow along. Look for our new blog soon and check out our new additions of chics and kids chickens and goats of course!

April.... May showers bring May flowers? Spring has arrived and we are going to enjoy it rain or shine!

I think it’s officially here! This week we are learning about birds and how they build their nest. We carried our learning outdoors to make our own nests. We encourage you to get out and explore nature!

We are wishing everyone a wonderful Easter weekend! We wanted to share a few ways to green your baskets this year. How about shredding your own paper. Sure that plastic colored stuff looks great but where does it go after the basket? We encourage you to shred some newspaper or your flyers for color this year. We LOVE to paint here at Green Beginnings and what’s more fun then painting an egg? Well do you know that you can stain those eggs naturally. Yes blueberries, strawbe...rries, beets, tea bags, spinach are just a start to get your dying on. Happy dying!! Hope you enjoy your Easter and can make a few green changes this year!
