Social 9 and 10 students took to the streets of town for a community scavenger hunt to spread some positivity with chalk, pick up some trash, and chat with some people who work in our community!

This week we have two deserving students for Griffin of the Week! Both Carly and Charli in grade 9 are hardworking, considerate, and spirited leaders. We are fortunate to have them apart of the Griffin fam!

This week for #wherearetheywednesday, we are featuring a couple high school sweethearts who happen to be Greenall alum! After graduating from Greenall in 2011, Tyler continued to play hockey in the SJHL for the Yorkton Terriers winning the Canulta Cup, Western Canada Cup and RBC National Championship. In 2018, Tyler became a Firefighter with the City of Regina. Carla graduated from Greenall in 2012, after graduating Carla continued working for the Government of Saskatchewan. In 2015, Carla went on to pursue her love for teaching at the elementary level. Tyler and Carla added their fur baby, Riggins to their family last June. They are currently in the process of building a house in Balgonie and will be getting married this July!

For #wherearetheywednesday we are taking it back to the Class of 2011 with Jenny! After graduating from Greenall, she went into the SCBSCN Nursing Degree program in Regina and became a Registered Nurse. After the 4 year degree program, she got her first job in Internal Medicine at the Regina General Hospital and has since then moved onto the Cardiac Surveillance Unit. Working in a pandemic was certainly never a part of her plan as a nurse, but being on the frontline has been exhausting and rewarding all at the same time. She married her best friend from high school and together they are in their second home in Emerald Park, where they couldn’t be happier to still be in the community they love with their four legged fur baby, Layla!

This week for Griffin of the Week, we have a group of Grade 12 girls who we would like to recognize for their continued efforts, participation, ambition, and advocacy. We are so excited to see what their futures hold! Congratulations girls!

This week we are lucky to have two grade 12 Griffins of the Week! Both Cole and Mya excel in academics, exhibit strong work ethics, and are amazing leaders in the school and community. We are so lucky to have these two apart of the Griffin family!

(Better late than never! Noah was awarded with Griffin of the Week before the break and we caught him on camera to deliver his award this week!) Noah is a hardworking, kind, and caring student who is well liked in his school, community, and on the ice! Congratulations Noah!

Our grade 11 Griffin of the Week is Alexis! She is an outgoing student who goes above and beyond in her school community, academics, and athletics. We are so proud to have her apart of the Griffin fam!
